i don't know if it was a heel turn or not

  2. ViceyThaShizzle says:

Is she going to become a Vince McMahon character? I thought she didn't want to have a big on-air presence, but this is kind of contrary to that.

    • jbcissom says:

She's getting a lot of heat for the recent releases, so why not play off of it.

      • Philly_Cheese says:

correct, plus she needs to learn that she actually does draw viewers. Every time they threw her on tv for a major storyline the ratings went up. She needs to learn that if she's going to run a wrestling company, she needs to get more involved. Hopefully she actually starts getting more involved in the stories and what the fans see and want, rather than sitting in the back in her tower.

  3. Euphoria says:

I am glad she is doing so. She gets so much disrespect from onlinr fans. Its a great idea. I once responded to a tweet of hers saying she should just go off on thr fans about how they are onlineb etc. Hope she will.

  4. HolsG says:

Hopefully it leads to JJ coming back and challenging her 😉 (i'm still in hope of a return lol)

Could be interesting but depends how well she can play it (not well from past experience)

  5. Hans Derrick says:

Damn. What a shocker. Awesome Dixie! Lets see what your capable

  6. MRPC says:

A heel Dixie could be 'Bitchy-Hot'. Hope she gives AJ a dry slap!!

  7. Bigmike885 says:

    UGH…seriously..TNA doesn't need this..

    • Philly_Cheese says:

Actually it's precisely what TNA needs, she needs to become more involved and take control of her company. I think she's become so deluded by what everybody tells her that she doesn't realize the product could be better. You can't run the company from an office sitting in the back and seemingly to not only the fans but probably the wrestlers as well, that you want nothing to do with the company or the industry.

      • Bigmike885 says:

being a onscreen leader doesn't mean anything. If shes still letting Hogan and Bischoff run things..nothing will change. At the end of the day this almost exactly what WWE is running at the moment (power hungry "authority figure" doing things their way) blah blah blah…

  8. MRPC says:

These wrestling storylines do come in cycles though don't they?. Heel Faction for a bit, Heel boss for a bit, Short term face authority figure, Heel Faction again etc…

  9. jbcissom says:

Ok, seriously people, to all the complainers… would you rather see:
    A) Dixie Carter as the heel boss… or
    B) Hulk Hogan on air?

I would rather watch an attractive female any day over Hulk Hogan, Brother!

    • Philly_Cheese says:

I'm not really considering the fact that she's taking that heel boss role, but the fact that if it's going to be a consist on-air role, that she's getting more involved. It seems like one of the biggest complaints from everyone across the board (both fans and wrestlers) is that Dixie doesn't have control over her company, and isn't doing enough to keep the people who work there under control and going in the same direction.

  10. cnote says:

Man she sure likes to steal ideas from.WWE she is hopeless and all of you TNA guys are thinking its cool that she is doing this but as soon as wwe does it oh their dumb they suck why are they coping tna. News flash its the other way around TNA is coping wwe. I mean come on Ace & 8, main event mafia are all rip offs of WCW ace & 8 = NWO men= millionaire club.

    • cnote says:

And that should be MEM stupid auto correct figured I’d fix it before some pansy a$$ tries to correct me.

    • Bigmike885 says:

I wondered if anybody would metion "TNA is ripping off WWE'..

    • JoeWrestling says:

Our course TNA is ripping off some ideas from WWE. Just as WWE has stolen a thousand from ECW, WCW, TNA, and everyone else. I've just never heard anyone complain when the little guy takes from the big corporation, that is what's bizarre on this. TNA is the underdog, yet you have the WWE lapdog supporters trying to drown TNA in the tub. Get over it, you're not helping anyone by getting on the WWE bandwagon to the death of everyone else. WWE isn't going anywhere, you can watch WWE and watch TNA, it's only 1 hour 20 minutes a week of your time. Yet people act like TNA owes them some gigantic product with 100 superstars, it's basically little over a hour a week, give them a break.

      • cnote says:

Nobody ever steals ideas from TNA because no one watches it ask the announcers who watch NFL during show! TNA is just a re hash of story lines because they have crappy writers. Immortal didn’t work so they brought in Aces & 8 and they are re hatching mem instead of firing talent fire the creative team and get better writers that have fresh ideas that no one else would or have even done!

    • MRPC says:

It's not so much ripping off another company it's just that in Wrestling there really are just variations of a theme. Storylines need a heel and face role (even Tweener roles) and these things come in cycles. There are no true original ideas.

The same can be said for other forms of entertainment including for example Pop Music where the age old themes are; Boy meets Girl, Boy loses Girl, Girl meets Boy, Girl loses Boy etc…

      • jbcissom says:

Yeah, people have forgotten about factions like the Midnight Express, Rock n' Roll Express, the Dungeon of Doom, the von Erichs, the Moon Dogs… and I haven't even touched the Mexican and Japanese factions yet. There is very little originality in wrestling. Punk and Danielson are not original. The Shield is not original. Steen in RoH is not original. MEM, nWo, Immortal, A&8… none are original.

  11. Nova_numb says:

Maybe this is a sign that Hogan isn't going to be sticking around much longer. That Dixie is looking to take on a bigger role and just let Hogan take a walk, so they can keep that money for his five minutes of television time talking.
