Those are 4 top notch matches! Phenomenal lineup, wwe hasnt been able to put a lineup like this together since the 1980’s.

Anyone else sense them setting up some epic matches for AJ Styles, including a return to the world title picture since his 1 year ban from fighting for the title is almost up? Seems like the could have some classics between MEM and Team EGO at some point, though, it'll be interesting to see what Aries ends up doing. I suppose he is going to be the 'lone wolf' guy like Crow Sting and Stone Cold were back in the day.

Not I…. If the past years BFG series were anything to compare to, its three months of filler matches with no angle to any of them, to give creative time to "plan for the year" . If you want to call them creative…. which theyre def not with the BFG series…. they might throw tweaks in and plan a knockout match ev now and again, but thats about it…..

However I must admit I see a MEM/EGO feud starting with them doing whatever with magnus….. I dont see anything with AJ though…. sorry.

      • DirkB says:

There's nothing but the BFG series and a KO match? Why then mention the MEM and EGO? That's creative at work, the X division cash-in, the lead up to that with Aries, Manik and Sabin, Sabin winning and losing the world title, EGO forming, someone losing their job at the last Impact and everything else that goes on outside the BFG series.

As for AJ, you really need to watch Impact.

Looks like 4 solid matches hope they can tear it up

    • oh0K says:

yes looks like 4 solid matches,,,,, with no storyline behind a single one….. wcw did a million times better with battlebowl

      • DirkB says:

Aries vs Daniels does have some storyline to it, watch Impact.
WCW didn't have a storyline for every match, that'd be a crazy thing to do.
Some of us are happy to watch some good wrestling without some nonsense storyline.

      • andy3323 says:

Technically, they all have some history. Roode and Styles go back quite a while, Kaz and Hernandez faced each other a lot in recent months in tag team battles, and as already point out AA and Daniels have a feud going right now. Magnus and Hardy, perfect chance to put Magnus over and have him beat the guy who has been considered to be one of the crown jewels (like it or not).

Nothing anyone hasn't seen before, which is why ratings are low and not growing…

    • DirkB says:

I can't recall the last time I saw Aries vs Daniels, a quick search says it was 2005 but that can't be right.
I can't find any mention of Magnus vs Jeff Hardy, other than a 3 way.

Last week I watched an MMA guy hit another MMA guy with a hammer, that was new. I saw Chris Sabin as TNA champ in a steel cage match, that was new.
What are you looking for? Sting vs Garett Bischoff in a 60 minute, submissions only, Ironman match?

      • hangers says:

I'm looking to be entertained and want to end the program wanting to see more, something these BFG matches or two MMA guys hitting each other with a hammer isn't going to do for me…

But obviously I'm in the minority, with the way the ratings are going and all…

        • ariesstormjoe says:

so your not a fan of solid consistent wrestling matches?

with at best in tna 60 ppl (cut this down appropriately consider whos in what division. of course they have some rebuilding to do)

but from the bfg series set of ppl including angle and storm just to make that 14 ppl. theres only so much they can do with that. more often than not thats going lead to the main event to be hardy OR aj styles OR angle OR aries OR roode OR storm OR joe or daniels OR kazarian vs 1 of the others on the list.

wrestling has a tried, tested and successful formula. and it'll continue in the same form for some while yet. what the industry/companies can do is strengthen their rosters with good indie talent and let their talent perform as best they can on tv.

your not in the minority but you are in the majority of unrealistic fans imo.

      • Sturk says:

Dirk you're my kinda wrestling fan hahaha I keep seeing you say the truth all over this thing haha

    • ariesstormjoe says:

id say the ratings are just down due to look at tv ratings across the board. far less ppl watch now than back in the 90s that says a lot imo.

  5. Vampirofan says:

Wonder if EGO are going to cheat their way to victory in their matches and then screw Magnus over again like they did when he faced Anderson… That would put EGO well into the top of the series. Gotta admit this year's BFG series was looking dull until Bobby Roode turned into his old self again!
