I doubted the Aries push, but he showed he deserved it. As good as a wrestler Sabin is, he's not a star. Alex Shelley is and was more of a star than Sabin ever was or possibly will be.

    • TROOF says:

They are both great talents. Why do you have to play favorites? Just be happy that a talented wrestler like Sabin is being pushed.

      • jbcissom says:

I'm not playing favorites. Sabin has nowhere near the charisma that Shelley had. There is a reason why AA worked as the HW champ. The man has "it". Sabin doesn't.

        • Mutter5 says:

In my opinion Sabin was the stronger half in MCMG's….
Look at bobby roode in his team Canada days, would you have looked at him and said, one day hes going to be the top heel in the company… My point is, Sabin has proven him self as a singles wrestler, there are areas he needs to improve but with the right push he could be a credible WH title contender….

          • tna24 says:

prove him self as a singles wrestler? really i guess you didnt see sabin before MCMG. it because he was a pretty big x division guy before MCMG

        • Philly_Cheese says:

The problem is Sabin never had the chance to be on his own, or do the stuff he did best… When you're part of a tag team you're really limited, and he's been a part of MCMG for an extremely long time… Clearly you never seen Sabin's initial x-division run. He has the talent, but never got the chance to fully show what he can do on his own for the better part of the last decade.

          • THISISASHOOT247 says:

yes he did. Before Sabin was in the MCMG, he was a really big x-division star. For awhile, he was like the next coming of AJ Styles, and that Cradle Shock finisher he did was brilliant. Look up his feud with Kevin Nash from way back or his ultimate x matches from earlier tna and you'll see what I mean.

    • KilloWare1996 says:

About the Aires push, he was also the ROH world champion before coming back to TNA

  2. WARISNAUGHTY says:

I think I speak for most people here when I say thank fuck! A TNA original who is a great worker and can be built well. Good times :)

    • jbcissom says:

      Slow your roll… Remember James Storm… AJ Styles… Samoa Joe… Bobby Roode… Then there is Jeff Hardy…. Ken Anderson…. Bully Ray…. Matt Morgan… Kurt Angle… Austin Aries…. Sting…

That's a pretty crowded Main Event scene. At least it appears that TNA is using Sting and Kurt Angle to build up the younger guys (Morgan and Briscoe).

TNA needs to push him as strictly X Division. There once was a time when the X Div title was just as prestigious in TNA. If TNA has Sabin going the HW route, you've just basically destroyed that notion.

      • WARISNAUGHTY says:

I actually can't argue with you there. You make an incredibly good point. However, were there a second show he does deserve something more. He has worked hard for the company and be it X Division or Heavy Weight Title, he deserves a push.

      • ariesstormjoe says:

they should put him in x division for a while but eventually push him up. for x division they could do with signing more guys to full time contracts.

      • Philly_Cheese says:

Putting him in the x-division is almost a guarantee that he won't resign later down the road… He's been part of the x-division for a long time, he's held that title a total of four times… He's been down that road, and quite honestly he's probably bored of it… You can't expect him to stay in the x-division and continue to be passionate about his work.

      • RatherBeAtNitro says:

TNA needs to bring in a second top tier title like maybe a United States Championship for the guys in the main event to chase.

hopefully his timing wont be off, he doesnt need another injury

  4. rrrwwws says:

Sabin vs Aries vs AJ for world title at the end of the year=EPIC!

  5. TheFurnitureom says:

Bobby Roode vs Chris Sabin, book it, the storyline is already there!

    • Philly_Cheese says:

Quite honestly I can see Sabin as being part of a group leading a fight against Aces & 8s. Sabin has always had the potential of being a very dark character because of his physical appearance. Quite honestly if they made some kind of dark group consisting of Styles, Sabin, and a few others they'd have something going. Personally I love the story they're doing with Styles with him being dark and very unpredictable.

  6. Tiffanydude says:

I'm super excited that Sabin is back, but he needs to stay in the X Division for awhile until the Gutcheck winners appear or when more X Division wrestlers are signed, the World Heavyweight picture is pretty filled up so I hope TNA holds off his World title push until the X Division has more wrestlers or when the storyline ends.

  7. whatsup121 says:

to move him from x-division to Heavy Weight Championship contending I would give him a tv title run first to see how he plans out

  8. Dependant says:

They should just do what they did with Aries and have him as a dominant x division champion and then when destination x hits cash in the championship for a HW title match. Might be a bit repetitious but still seems like great tv.

  9. ViceyThaShizzle says:

If they had kept the Destination X PPV and the stipulation that Aries introduced last year they could have had Sabin win the X-div title in a strong match on his return and then cash it in for a WH shot at Destination X. He wouldn't necessarily need to win the title though, just to thrust him into the WH title picture and let it be known he's a legit contender for it. Also it wouldn't work if he was against Bully though, he'd have to beat someone like Roode or Aries for it, someone he can realistically outwrestle.

  10. tna24 says:

for some of you that dont know, Sabin was making a name for him self way before Shelley and MCMG.but shelly does have the way better mic skills, but sabin got talent and dont need to prove anything.
