AUDIO: Sting On Why He Sticks With TNA & Still Wrestles

Sting recently spoke with Brandon Baxter on 101.7 Kiss FM Jonesboro, Arkansas. Here are some highlights…

On Why He Has Stayed With TNA: “It’s the same answer every time and that is the brand, just love the brand. It reminded me of the old school WCW and actually launching Monday Nitro and becoming the talk of the town and then talk of the whole wide world, and I saw the same potential here with this group of guys and everyone behind the scenes as well.”

On Why He Still Wrestles: “Man, the crowd. The crowd is always the ticket, always the key there. I have always had a relationship with the crowd for so many years and, man, any wrestler who denies that is lying to you. The crowd matters. It’s also the guys and the group of people we have and trying to accomplish something, to get the name and brand out there.”

I really hope Sting will remain in TNA until his career is over… He is the ICON of TNA and at his age he still got it, just looking at last nite's IMPACT main event you won't believe he is 53.

And to all of those so called wrestling fans who crap on him for his age. Do half the things he does at his age. Bet you would break something. This guy has done so much for the biz. Not many can say they went toe to toe over and over beating Ric Flair as much as he has. Being able to get over of when Flair was in his prime. Of course wrestling is written. Etc etc. But to be a guy who is allowed to get over by Flair as much as he has. Well that is something special. I am sure if he was in the wwe. Fans who disrespect him would kiss his ass.

  3. CaptainN says:

Sting is the best in the business, he has loyalty, charisma, talent, can work the crowd and is good on the mic. He has done it all, yet continues for the love of the business and for the fans. He truly represents what a wrestler should be…humble!

he is someone who truly loves his job
