Bobby Lashley Returns To TNA At Lockdown

Former WWE and TNA Superstar Bobby Lashley made his return to TNA Wrestling during Sunday night’s Lockdown pay-per-view event from Miami, FL.

During the show, EC3 (Ethan Carter III) made his way to the ring and cut a promo about having a dream. He said that when he was a young wrestler he always wanted to face the best. He discussed Kurt Angle winning an Olympic gold medal and being the only person to do that and then transitioned into pro wrestling. He called Angle one of the best wrestlers of all time.

EC3 then said that he was issuing an open challenge to anyone on the TNA roster. During this, he told the fans not to try and hijack “this show.” Bobby Lashley’s music then hit and he came out to a nice sized pop. EC3 complained as Lashley made his way to the ring, claiming that Lashley wasn’t on the TNA roster. The fans chanted “Bobby, Bobby.”

EC3 then tried to take a cheap shot but Lashley ducked it, scooped him up and hit a running powerslam. Lashley then speared him as his music played to end he segment.

wow, this is sad. why would tna bring him in? kevin nash at this stage in his career is way more of value in ring. lashley is terrible aka black lesner. minus the talent and even charisma of lesner or mic skills (yes of lesner) should have just brought in monty brown. he is everything lashly isn't

Of course Lashley has to get over, which may be a hard task for him. But he did look great, and could easily be of value if he's protected and used correctly. TNA does need people that look the part, they don't need to be seen as uncool and with a lot of talent that's small or unimpressive looking or past their prime. Angle is great, but he's getting past his prime and I think Lashley was picked because he fits the same sort of character role in a sense (IE amateur wrestler, and proud American).

Yeah, wasn't Kenny King supposed to be at that PPV?

I know no one really cares for Lashley but I gotta give props to Dixie Carter for bringing Lashley back. TNA needs some star power and even more then that they need a legit heavyweight that can hopefully HOPEFULLY help put some guys over. Also I feel like Lashley never got the chance to do whatever he can do in TNA. When he first came in he was concentrated on making a splash in the MMA world and tried to do wrestling at the same time. He came to TNA then shortly after Hogan & Bishoff came and somehow Lashley was gone.
With WWE scooping up all the legitamite heavyweights I didn't think there was anyone left. I forgot all about Lashley. They better not F this up. Now go get The Young Bucks, Alex Shelly, Amazing Red and A.J. and we got what we need. Oh yeah bring back Monty Brown! Pounce!!!!!!!
