Breaking News: Jeff Jarrett Announces Promotion

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling sent out the following today…

NASHVILLE — After weeks of speculation and unprecedented internet buzz surrounding the hashtag #ItsComing … IT IS HERE!

Legendary performer and third-generation promoter Jeff Jarrett and his wife, Karen, are set to unveil Global Force Wrestling (, which promises to be the most fan-interactive and immersive wrestling experience in history.

“Because of new media, new technology and more ‘in-tune’ fans than we’ve ever had, wrestling is poised for another boom like it experienced in the mid-1980s and late 1990s,” Jeff Jarrett said. “What we’re going to deliver is a multi-platform, innovative brand that will engage fans in ways they’ve never experienced. It will provide a fresh perspective inside the business that fans have been clamoring for.”

Jarrett, the founder of TNA wrestling and a 12-time world champion who wrestled in WWE, WCW and numerous international promotions, and his wife, Karen, have been laying the foundation for GFW since January 2014.

“Jeff was born into this business,” Karen Jarrett said. “It’s his life’s passion. He saw a unique opportunity to fill a need in professional wrestling, and he has tirelessly devoted himself physically, mentally and emotionally to doing just that.”

Videos of the Jarretts previewing the new promotion attached to the hashtag #ItsComing have garnered more than a million views. Meanwhile, Jeff and Karen have been searching the United States and the international ranks in search of undiscovered talent. The response has been overwhelming, with more than 400 performers from across the globe already in the evolving GFW talent database.

“The reality is we want to build a brand in which fans are watching our wrestlers evolve from day one and are truly invested in the lives of our talent in and out of the ring,” Jarrett said.

Global Force Wrestling expects to make several more key announcements in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Finally a second wrestling show to watch other than wwe. Unless sting shows up tonight. Now it’s just a waiting game till the number 2 wrestling promotion airs. Ha tna sucks balls.

  2. TNA_Warrior_UK says:

The more variety the better. I'll look forward to this….

  3. Get_Carter says:

I'm hoping Jarrett has learned from the mistakes of TNA. No overpriced older stars, just bring in young, hungry talent and build them up.

    • godoftna says:

Not sure that all of the "older, over priced stars" can be layed at Jarrett's feet. He brought in Sting for sure, but the majority of the others were brought in by Dixie Carter.

    • Beezy_Does_It says:

I still think Jeff is going to bring in certain older guys. Like Scott Steiner and maybe Rhyno, but in the beginning Jarrett will probably have everybody that wrestles under a per appearance contract anyway, so it's not really going to matter if you see an older talent. No one but Jarrett will have a real contract until they are up and running for a while, that way Jarrett can see who could be loyal or who the future is. On another note, I love the name Global Force Wrestling. It gives you this feeling that they are going to be putting on shows all around the world. Can't wait.

Good job. JJ. You never know, this might lead to a Thursday night war with tna

    • Bigmike885 says: so sick of the "war" concept…all the companies should just go out and do their best..a war usually means theres a winner and a loser…pick a different night (Wednesday maybe?) and put out the best product you can…why compete anymore? if they're decent..the fans (who should be the ones that matter) win…

  5. Roid Master says:

    Time to launch gfwwrestlingnews. com

  6. mfg420 says:

Karen Jarrett ain’t nothing but a gold digger Jeff Jarrett watch your back with that girl she looks shady to me she’ll take you for everything you got .. she just might be riding on Toby Keith dick already

  7. hangers says:

I think Jeff, and Dixie have both missed the mark with their comments and thinking about fan immersion.. I for one, don't want to know what wrestlers are doing in their spare time, I would prefer mystery and intrigue to plain old reality..

  8. JoeWrestling says:

I don't know about the name GFW, been lots of "Global" wrestling promotions, doesn't seem too great. You'd think they'd put a lot of thought into the name considering.. I can't imagine anyone seeing Global Force Wrestling on their TV guide and wanting to see it. Sounds like something on ESPN. Doesn't matter to us I guess, but marketing wise, you think that'd be one of the top things to get right. Seems like an after thought. Also odd that Paul & Steph are doing the Jeff & Karen act on WWE. Going to look like a rip off by time it airs, unfortunately. Which is sad because they are very good at it.
