Breaking News: SoCal Val Gone From TNA

SoCal Val is the latest talent to part ways with TNA Wrestling as the tenured Knockout announced her departure from the organization on Thursday evening.

“Thank u #ImpactWrestling ,the lockerroom & esp the fans for 9 wonderful years. No longer w the company. Really excited 2 see what’s NEXT!” wrote Val on Twitter.

Though not a wrestler, Val was otherwise a jill all of trades for the company as she appeared as an interviewer, ring announcer, ringside attendant and performed other duties at various points.

  3. 1Risky1 says:

replace her with a new knockout that will wrestle

  4. OldManEaston says:

But her face, I'll miss it. I kid, but seriously, I'll miss what she brought to TNA…..
This one hurts, how do you replace that, whatever it was?

  5. GuitarGuruXXX says:

    god that face…oof. Peace out.

  6. Mr. Excitement says:

    Finally… Should have happened sooner.

  7. Cezar_TheScribe says:

    Terrible news.

  8. Stunner says:

With Brooke Hogan and now SoCal Val gone TNA can bring in at least three wrestling KOs to help the division. I hope they bring back Tara, Tealer Hendrix, and Ivelieze back to TNA full time . Trust me its needed !!

  9. Darkelzallon says:

Is this her intention or is this the company's budget cut? I'll miss her.

  10. jbcissom says:

I'm actually surprised this didn't happen earlier. Man… I hope they keep JB; but he, Taz, and Tenay need to get their resumes ready more than likely.

    • tnadude says:

They're all safe. Taz just signed a new deal. Why – well, I can't answer that question. He sucks (although I'll admit last night was a good night for him). But if he's safe, JB and Tenay are too.

Would love to see Steve Corino take over for him though.

      • jbcissom says:

The thing is, JB and Val were basically the opposite sex counterparts. Val and JB did/still do a lot for TNA behind the scenes production-wise and marketing-wise.

JB is basically TNA's "Mean" Gene Okurland.

  11. nicholal79 says:

She did a lot of stuff backstage! She did almost all of their web shows!

  12. Steven kelly says:

Exactly people only see her onscreen work her n hemme do a heck of a lot more and another thing so cal val is drop dead gawjus obviously i need to book u guys in with an optician

  13. Get_Carter says:

    Disappointing news. Is JB next?

  14. whatsup121 says:

Man that suck we're losing SoCal Val

  15. whatsup121 says:

    Best of luck SoCal Val

  16. hangers says:

I love how people call for certain heads to roll but when they leave they say, oh that sucks. I wont miss her on air but I don't know exactly what she did behind the scenes so she may be sorely missed by staff there in TNA, regardless though, 9 years is a fair time, due for a change, lets see what the future brings…

  17. lee4tammy says:

    good

all she did was sit ring side

  18. RavenNevermore says:

Steven Kelly is a moron! Um AJ has talent. So Cal had no talent and was ugly as Ugly can get!

  19. deke43 says:

Tna will be gone within 12 months

    • Dennis D says:

They’ve been predicting TNA’s downfall for 10 years. It’s as pathetic as Y2K and the Mayan December Doomsday. Just stop. You look stupid.

    • ariesstormjoe says:

ppl have been saying that since 2002. you've just joined the deluded society. congratulations.

    • OldManEaston says:

I bet you they wont? How much you want to bet? TNA's contract with Spike TV is much longer than 12 months, and they are not going to cancel it before that time without a suitable replacement.

Now what I am starting to think may happen if TNA doesn't start growing it's paying fanbase, is that at some point Panda is going to look to sell to Viacom and Viacom will likely purchase it and install their own corporate figures, given it currently draws them their biggest ratings on Spike. Then if it doesn't make a go, we will probably start talking about TNA's last hurrah, but that is not going to happen for a while.

  20. mb113 says:

Basically Kristy took her place after the neck injury. I am surprised they kept Val this long. But it is time to change up the roster and fresh things up a bit. Good to see TNA treating this like a business, instead of Dixie N' Friends.

  21. Buseye says:

When you have PPV's now being televised for free that sends signals that TNA might be either getting ready to part ways with Spike TV or else the company is preparing to fold completely altogether.

    • steidman says:

no, it means TNA is trying to draw in more fans.

    • ariesstormjoe says:

since tna is owned panda energy the latter is very unlikely. and with spike tv despite their "low" ratings. they are still top dog for spike tv.

with the "free" ppvs shows. they are just televised shows with the ppvs of the same name. over the course of 2 shows every week thats 2 hours 40 minutes of a show (taking away adverts) thats equal to 1 ppv in terms of time.

  22. tnadude says:

Relax guys. If they let AJ go, you can all get in line to scream (I get first dibs, ok?). It's just a KO who didn't wrestle or do much else that was noticeable. Sure, she did stuff backstage, but that's all replaceable.

I liked So Cal, but whatever, we won't notice her departure. I do have to admit though – I thought they'd get rid of Christy Hemme first… I guess we'll hear about her next…

  23. annil8or4321 says:

she has some body on her though, damn
