Bruce Prichard & D-Lo Brown Gone From TNA

Bruce Prichard & D-Lo Brown Gone From TNA

UPDATE: Bruce Prichard is officially gone from TNA. TNA released Prichard, who was Senior Vice President of Programming & Talent Relations, today. As previously reported, there were several issues with Prichard including his stalling out contract negotiations to the point that some, such as Drew Hankinson and RVD, had expired.

Also officially released was D’Lo Brown, who had been an agent with the the company since 2009 and was also in charge of the Gutcheck tryouts.

ORIGINAL: Bruce Prichard may become a casualty of TNA’s cost-cutting. Sources report that as the company restructures itself, they have been asking office personnel to restructure their deals. Prichard was asked to do so and has reportedly rejected that request and his days are said to be numbered in the company as a result.

TNA’s agents were also asked to do so and some within TNA say that shortly after D-Lo agreed to a per-night agreement, he was fired.

More as we get it.

I feel bad for D-Lo though! I hope TNA cuts the Hogans loose soon! They cost more than any of the in-ring talent!

      • Dennis D says:

How do you know that the Hogans makes more than the in-ring performers? I’m not saying that your wrong, I just hear this complaint alot but nobody has ever gave me a source of proof that Hulk & Brooke make more money than AJ Styles, Austin Aries, or Bobby Roode.

Again, I’m not saying your wrong. They very well could be and it wouldn’t surprise me. I just would like a solid source that states it.

    • Luis says:

Yes now all we need is for them to Hire “Head” lol come on Al Snow you look like you can Wrestle still

  2. showtime says:

Going to be interesting to see who takes his place…..

  3. nicholal79 says:

D-Lo agrees to restructure and gets fired? Al Snow better not gain more power because, his reputation is as a person who is full of it!

  4. pepsilover2008 says:

Good news for the tna talents especially, I kinda wonder if this was the reason why wwe fired him as well.

    • Philly_Cheese says:

More than likely, he was with them for a very long time, then was suddenly released without any reason being openly stated by WWE.

  5. THISISASHOOT247 says:

They will probably do an angle where all the titles are vacated next… cough cough dubya see dubya cough cough

  6. Tiffanydude says:

Nah Nah Nah Nah, Nah nah nah nah, Hey Hey Hey Fuck you Bruce!!!

  7. Steven kelly says:

Think thats death knell for gut check what with ovw problems im sad bt happy cos we cn shove another match into space it took up say maybe an x division match or even tv title

  8. andy3323 says:

Wonder if the recent hiring of that guy from WWE plays into this restructuring at all, wasn't he a director or some sort of producer?

  9. Stunner says:

I only had one issue with Pritchard and that was dropping the ball on Bobby Roodes contract. Roode was in a really good angle going at the time. If anyone needs to go its Brooke Hogan, she hasn’t brought squat to the KOs division, I mean ZEROOOOOO! Bring back Sarita she can go in the ring, I still say Tealer Hendrix should have been called up ! TNA missed one there, also the KO that made Lady Tapia tap, another miss by TNA. You have a KO that has a wrestling/MMA skills and you have no where for her? Hmmmmm Aces&eights maybe ! An the X-Division Push Petey Williams and Kenny King, bring back SONJAY& Rasheed Camron, Mason Andrews, Low Ki, these few could spice up the X-Divison as well give it a HUGE BOOST!

  10. piro4351 says:

he failed so miserably..glad hes gone.

  11. AussieWrestling says:

Bruce Prickard will not be missed 🙂

  12. deke43 says:

Next to go should be the Hogans.

  13. nate says:

I don’t feel sorry for Bruce Prichard at all of ! He should have stayed behind the scenes and not been apart of Gutcheck! There was no need for him to be on Camera!

As far as him stalling with RVD’s contract……whatever! RVD is better off in WWE anyways! It’s a shame about DOC! I thought they were really building something up between He and Anderson! Maybe he would have gotten kicked out of Aces and Eights eventually and because a decent Face!

You didn’t get to see him perform much but he looks like he would be nasty in the ring!

  14. hangers says:

Need to sh!t can the Hogan's put Sting and Bubba in the background a bit, bring back the six sided ring and start producing shows which live up to the name of Total Non-Stop Action!!

    • toddmikki says:

6 sided ring will never come back, the wrestlers hated it and it looks terrible on tv!

    • tnafan05 says:

Agree about hogans leaving but the problem is he still gets biggest pop of the night most weeks the show itself i think is strong at the moment theres some good things going on and has been for months pritchard going might steady the ship a bit hopefully contract wise although im glad rvd left would love to see jack evans sign a tna contract and the briscoes or american wolves for the tag division or just both fuck it

    • jbcissom says:

They definitely need to can Brooke… HH can still be used, but in a sparing manner. Bubba is the WHC… what the hell are you thinking? And are you kidding me… other than Mike Tenay saying this is Sting's new MEM, Sting really hasn't been at the forefront. Angle seems to me to be a co-leader, and we've seen some great stuff from Magnus and Joe.

Face it, the six-sided ring is gone. And the wrestlers have stated they are grateful for it (i.e. AJ, Roode, Kaz, Daniels, etc.)… it actually gives them more space to work in a squared ring than the six-sided one.

Just stop with the belly-aching. For the past several weeks, the BFG gauntlet, Aries-Sabin (and subsequently Manic for like 3 min) match, the deuce's wild tourney match with Kaz and Roode v. Daniels and AA…. just stop with the nagging, because the wrestling is there now.

      • hangers says:

Its far from there, the ratings are low, the 6 sided ring differentiated the product and looked good on tv, the a&8's has been a terrible storyline and bubba has gone from a world class heel to an annoying fool spouting crap… The storylines and creative direction need work and MEM 2.0 isnt going to fixthis

what took you so long to fire his ass TNA?

  16. Sturk says:

    Leave the memories alone……..

  17. TwIsTeD_EnEmY says:

From what i hear D'lo was a good employee.
    Its a shame.
Also, wonder who will replace Pritchard on the gutcheck segment ?
Will the gutcheck segment still run ? (D'lo was in charge of it)

  18. tnadude says:

From what's been reported, it sounds like he's dropped the ball several times and needed to be ousted.

That said – I still have a problem with people telling him to F-off, or singing songs for his dismissal. He's human like the rest of us, and he tried to do his job just like you & I. He didn't steal or do anything like that, so can't we just be glad for change and wish him well in the future?

I've also heard people saying that he "likes to renegotiate other people's contracts, but not his own". Without talking to him, how can you know if he enjoys bulling the talent, or if he's just bad-cop to Dixie's good-cop? In my business anyway, that's how it works.

Again, I'm happy for a change. I think the Bobby Roode contract was egregious. I don't care for BVD, but it sounds like a second example. And so they need to get someone in that will do a better job.

I just don't see the need to attack Bruce Pritchard the man.

    • jbcissom says:

I get what you're saying, but this… air of ole Brucey precedes his presence in WWE.

    • Philly_Cheese says:

I admit the guy is human and needs a job, but he caused his own release. He messed up so many times letting contracts run out. Doesn't matter if you're playing chicken with the contracts, you NEVER let them run out unless you intend on releasing them anyways. He refused to renegotiate his pay, and shows how arrogant he was, thinking he could just say "no" and keep his job. There were also stories of this guy bragging backstage when he first got to TNA how huge of a deal he was because he used to work for WWE, and how "important" he was there.

  19. shanedraper says:

hopefully vince russo will come back then the knockouts, x division and tag teams will be good again

  20. LY48 says:

Bruce needed to go since he has been with TNA everything is went to hell. The knockouts division is gone, and the x-division talent is disappearing. Please bring someone in that can do the job and make TNA prosper with ratings and talent. The new talent that he brought in is gone from the company now due to mishandling of their talent. You don't have to keep bringing in big name talents you just need people that can wrestle and entertain the viewers.

  21. Philly_Cheese says:

So glad that arrogant SOB is gone,
