Bruce Prichard Quits TNA?, D-Lo Brown Fired?

Bruce Prichard may become a casualty of TNA’s cost-cutting. Sources report that as the company restructures itself, they have been asking office personnel to restructure their deals. Prichard was asked to do so and has reportedly rejected that request and his days are said to be numbered in the company as a result.

TNA’s agents were also asked to do so and some within TNA say that shortly after D-Lo agreed to a per-night agreement, he was fired.

More as we get it.

Yes! The 1st release that I actually agree with! Fucking Bruce is the reason D.O.C was released!
Now at least we can get better talent without Bruce screwing it up or at least more female wrestlers.

    • Philly_Cheese says:

Glad to see I'm not the only one that's glad he's on his way out. The guy has had so many screw ups that it surprises me he wasn't let go of sooner. I guess now we see why WWE let him go, after all they wouldn't let someone go for no reason.

    • Pippin0490 says:

Not to mention he also almost cost us Bobby Roode! How many contracts has he "let slip by"? Clearly doing a half-assed job if that.

  2. UCEAD11 says:

exactly….the rebirth of the knockouts is in the wings…please bring up the blossom twins….

    • Miss Violet says:

And bring back, ivelisse , Tara, Roxxi, Hamada, Taeler, Kong, & Daffney.
While they at it, get rid of Brooke Hogan, & Garret Bischoff.

      • jflegler says:

If they bring back the KO division, they should do it right. Kong, Daffney, Hamada, and Roxxi would definitely make things right – women that can actually wrestle and not just soft porn for the idiots out there that only watch them for the skimpy outfits they wear.

      • Pippin0490 says:

        Daffney? Oh yes!

      • SageStinger says:

I thought Daffney was seriously injured and couldn't wrestle anymore? Also, i'd rather Wes brisco go than Bichoff. I see more potential in Bichoff than I do Brisco. But definitely yes to all those knockouts!

    • tnadude says:

According to a backstage interview with James Storm during the UK tour, he said he thought they'd be great in "a year or two". So they may not be ready to be brought up. If not – hold them until they're ready. Let them make their mistakes in OVW so they look like superstars when they get to TNA.

I see people calling for Daffney. Not happening. She's got a history of concussions and DWIs and sued the company on top of it. Guessing that bridge is burned.

I wouldn't mind seeing them sign Veda Scott at some point. She's raw and not a super-model. But she's a legitimate attorney and a very bright young woman. Basically, she's an underdog in this business. But anyone that can go to school, pass the bar, and work in wrestling at the same time deserves a chance.

  3. jbcissom says:

Hope you can find work elsewhere, just as long as it is not in TNA. Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you on your way out.

    *Throws up the duece*

  4. whatsup121 says:

So with Bruce Prichard gone who’s

Going to be the next Gutcheck

Judge they’ve lost Taz , Rick Flair,

D-Low (technically) one for one segment

While Al Snow was MIA , but none the less

So I ask who will replace Prichard as the

    Gutcheck judge (probably be hogan)

    I asume

  5. TheBringer92 says:

Bruce should go, DLO not bothered as much as some of the others named, Joey Ryan Tara to name a few. Bruce should deffo go.

  6. lee4tammy says:

In the style of gut check

your not ready to be apart of a wrestling company like tna ,your mic skills suck and your a lax idiot who no one likes and hell doesn't do his job properly my
    vote is no

  7. scottlag10 says:

TNA is an absolute mess at the moment. The knockouts division is basically dead. The Bound for Glory series is awful as everyone doesn't compete in the same number of matches and it goes on for too long.

This whole cashing in the X division title thing is awful too. What does it say about the X Division title when people are trading it in to get a shot at another title? Just makes it look really weak. Also, they need to get rid of Gut Check. All it does it just add wrestlers to an already crowded roster. The recent cuts show that TNA aren't really bothered about Gut Check either as they let a few winners go. TNA is a right mess at the moment.

  8. Cezar_TheScribe says:

Prichard likes restructuring other people contracts, but not his own?

How about that. He's one of the reasons Angelina Love left. -_-

Wonder if she will comeback to TNA once he's gone?

  9. godoftna says:

When TNA 1st hired Pritchard, I thought it might be a good move for the company. But following his poor handling of Robert Roode's contract(letting it expire at the last minute), and now the deal with Hankinson, he really needs to go. Personally I didnn't care about RVD leaving, but this isn't the type of person you want running your talent relations department.

  10. hangers says:

Happy if he walks, especially if he's the one responsible for the downturn in the KO's since he joined..

  11. TwIsTeD_EnEmY says:

Am i the only one that seems to be unhappy with this news?
All this releases is making TNA look really unstable right now to me.
    Its frightening

    • jbcissom says:

Hendrix, Ryan, Tara, and Madison Rayne all make sense. All except Hendrix had guaranteed contracts and weren't being used. Expect to see Joey Ryan back somewhere down the road… the same goes for Matt Morgan too, unless he's already with WWE. And in Madison Rayne's case, based on the tweets from her and Dixie, whenever Rayne is ready to come back, TNA is going to pay her.

And about ole Brucey… this guy has let Roode slip through. He has let Hankinson slip through. Everyone gives Dixie flack, but when she gets involved (like VKM) she gets stuff done. Look at Velvet and Sting year in and out.

      • tnadude says:

I completely agree with you as well. I'd just add that from her recent interview, Hendrix appears to be a bad apple. So even if they had kept her, I can't imagine they'd have pushed someone like her.

Same thing with Bruce. I don't miss BVD at all. But if management thought he should stay and he left because of Bruce's inability to manage contracts, that's a major strike. DOC appears to be the same way. And never mind what happened to Roode. That could have been disastrous. I still don't know why VKM didn't swoop in and pick him up. At the very least, he'd have cost TNA money when Roode's price was driven up…

  12. scottlag10 says:

TNA is such a mess at the moment.

    1. Bound for glory series – takes too many wrestlers out for too long a period of time. Each wrestler in the series doesn't fight in the same number of matches as everyone else so its flawed.

    2. Knockouts division – don't even need to expand on this

    3. X Division – what does it say about the x division that someone gave up that title to get a shot at another. Just makes the X division look really weak

    4. Gut Check – stupid idea. Just adds wrestlers to an already crowded roster. TNA clearly don't care about winners seeing as a load were just released. The time this takes up could be used far better.

TNA needs to sort themselves out as there is so much wrong with the company at the moment.

  13. whatever says:

Just because Prichard is leaving (or might be its not confirmed yet),doesn’t mean all these people will be coming back. I’d tna were to rehire all the wrestlers you want back they will be right back in the same issue with money.

  14. HolsG says:

    Thank god!!!!
Hate his guts. Bring back knockouts and x division – just like the good old days when fans looked interested

  15. cnote says:

Any of you who put the blame on one person are dumb. What makes you think Dixie doesn’t have something to do with the decision of talent contracts? I’m sure he isn’t the only one to blame TNA has been cutting cost for months now since going on the road. The problem always starts from the top. Ever heard the saying sh!t rolls down hill well now you see it happening TNA will be done within 2 yrs. There is no way they are going back to Universal Studios now that WWE is building the HOF there now. TNA is screwed due to miss management from the top!

  16. tHe_SoRrOw says:

Okay so I tweeted Roxxi about the rumours of Prickchard leaving and basically begging her to return to TNA and revive the KO's and she replied saying, and I quote, "never say never ;)"
Read into that what you will

  17. shanedraper says:

best news in a long time

  18. Calvin says:

Bruce Prichard is probably working with WWE and Vince McMahon to screw the future of TNA Wrestling. Vince McMahon was responsible for the death of WCW by contacting and filtering then WCW creative director Vince Russo’s ideas. Vince Russo worked for the McMahons.

Bruce Prichard is another Vince Russo.

  19. tsoutheast says:

I hope Bruce is gone. He's not head of company material. He continues to let contracts expires and TNA hasn't grown since he's been in charge.

  20. UCEAD11 says:

I still think it was a ploy to destroy TNA from within….it sounds like what the McMahons would do…

    • Bigmike885 says:

you must be a complete moron…You do understand that what you're saying is a FELONY to do right? Vince may be a lot of things, but if he did that he would be risking everything hes worked the last 30 years for. And why would he do it? To take out TNA? That's not a threat to him (in his mind anyway). Just like he sent Russo over to WCW, after ratings started to nosedive, riiiight…

  21. UCEAD11 says:

How do you come in and immediately start dismantling what was working for the company ….then continuously let go some of the best performers. something isnt right about all of that.

  22. UCEAD11 says:

I also think that with the people coming over from WWE they know something is up with Bruce and he is trying to bail before he gets exposed….just a theory.

  23. 2blackbelts says:

The top person on the pile, or the owner of TNA has absolute and final call on all contract decisions. No matter what, everything must be approved or disapproved by Dixie first, and that is the way it should be.

If D Lo leaves, I wil miss him. He was a great guy professionally, and treated me very well backstage.

It does appear that TNA is in some form of flux right now. There is no way that WWE has spys or inside agents in TNA to ruin it. Vince could care less.

  24. menionazalee1 says:

I remember when Pritchard came into WWE…oh wait excuse me.. Brother Love. He was a dick then and he is a still a dick. He took a company (TNA) that was striving and turned it into a mess. I happen to agree with everything that is being said. The BFG series is too long. The X division champion should not have to hand over the title to get a shot at the Heavy Weight Champion. As for the knockouts….time to bring back the ladies that know how to frickin wrestle.

AJ Styles stick is getting too fricking old, It was old five minutes after it started. Bring back the old AJ that came in took care of business and didn't freaking whine about it. Bring back Abyss and make him the monster that he is suppose to be not a mamby pamby wanna be. They did that to Kane and look what happened. Love Joesph Park but damn man… Let your inner Abyss out and transform already.

The Aces and Eights would run screaming into the night and piss themselves if a real biker gang came in. Now that would be something worth seeing. They all talk a mean game but what if they actually had to put up.

Even as dysfunctional as TNA is right now, it is a still better the WWE. It always will be folks cause as I said, as dysfuntional as it is…it is still better them WWE.

Oh and ummmm dump the gut check crap. These wrestlers have been around a long time, the majority of them. They have paid their dues and have earned the right for a tryout but the gut check is not a tryout…it's a "let's show everyone how bad they are!."

TNA needs the young wrestlers and the ones that are hungry, They need talent that can work with the veterns and learn from them. If the judges of the gut check are gonna judge….maybe they should go in and wrestle the tryouts. Show us what they can do before they judge. Al Snow is good and all but he is a little too long in the tooth to actually go in and prove he is worthy of being a judge.

This has been my two cents worth. Just my opinion folks and nothing else. Have a great day and see on the flip side.
