Christy Hemme Upset At Austin Aries?, Details

Christy Hemme appeared to be legitimately upset at Austin Aries after she messed up the introductions for Aries and Bobby Roode last night. Aries came to the ring and proceeded to put his crotch in the face of Hemme. When asked about it via Twitter, Christy replied with the following:

Fan: “@TheRealGaryS: Did @AustinAries Put His Nuts In @hemmepowered Face? #Impactlive”

Christy Hemme: Yes. Unacceptable.

It's not a classfull thing to do, but Aries just tried to make the moment less akward by doing something funny. It didn't come across as humiliating to me.

Yeah, I took it more as a typical heel move. I came see both sides of the story there, but he wasn't like rubbing on her face or anything. Heck, for all we know, this could be a work through social media, they have done that before, after all.

      • Dante_Cross says:

Well she did mess up illegitimately from what I took, and the way she seemed agitated after the first time she said "Okay–OKAY!" when Aries had his crotch in her face, seemed genuine. Plus I listened when she said "Oh" and then did it again but in a different tone, so the first was the realization that it was the wrong music, and the second was at realizing she messed up.

I think we can all see both sides to this incident. Knowing Dixie though, she has probably talked to AA already, if someone else hasn't.

  2. xenocea says:

I hope Christie doesn't get upset and leave TNA cause of this small incident..

    • jbcissom says:

      Was that pun intended?

      Sorry, couldn't help myself

    • OldManEaston says:

Why? What the hell does she do, other than standing up there and repeating introductions? The fact that she was at one time the highest paid "Knockout" and probably still is, unless you count Brooke Hogan now, who undoubtedly makes more, is pretty much a slap in the face to the entire division. She does a job where no experience in the wrestling business is necessary, or even real knowlege of wrestling or the particular company product in general is required. Just public speaking ability. Dime a dozen. It is a job she could literally read off of cue cards, and has been done so many many times in the wrestling business.

      • jbcissom says:

Just so you know… Brooke Hogan's job is to be some executive for the knockouts… that's basically what Hemme does for the KOs outside of the ring.

        • OldManEaston says:

I think we all can pretty much surmise what Brooke Hogan's role is with TNA. She's not a wrestler and knows nothing about the wrestling business. She's never had any experience at either writing or creative for anything let alone the wrestling business, or even basic business, other than being a failed model and a failed musician, despite all the crap Dixie spewed to the contrary to justify her position. Executive schmecutive, it is pretty clear, she got a job because her dad is Hulk Hogan. It's a gift job. For someone like Hemme, something vague as "executive" in a worked business, undoubtedly translates into stuff like looking pretty for photo ops and meet and greets and advising the other KO's on how to look their best at those times or something. I mean seriously, what else is there for her to do? She's not a writer, not a booker, not a merchandize specialist like Don West was. Not a marketer, she's not a business guru. She's basically a mascot.

          • annil8or4321 says:

her and so cal val do everything for the kos, she directed the zombie commercial they did and the shoot for the new kos page

      • tnadude says:

So, then how much DOES Brooke make? Seriously – if you're going to surmise things, make them factual. For all you know, she makes $300/appearance like the rest of them.

Come on guys – let's get real. There's far too much "speculation" on this site, and it often gets confused as fact.

I just hope AA doesn't get affected, or Christie uses her sway with Dixie to get him punished.

No offense, but Hemme is a drain to TNA. She is one of the highest paid talents, she isn't that big of a name and she doesn't even wrestle. Honestly, she should be cut and her ridiculous salary should be dolled out to the MUCH harder working Knockouts (Who, most of which, are receiving JOKE salaries).

When it comes to an overpaid mooch vs a hard-working underpaid talent, I would have to side with AA over Hemme. AA makes people tune-in, Hemme is just an announcer (And, with this article as an example) not even a good one.

    • OldManEaston says:

Exactly! She is a negative asset to TNA at this point. I say this not because I like or dislike her, or even as a critique of the Austin Aries incident. I say it, because it is true. She is one of the most undeserving people in wrestling who is an on air talent , in any major wrestling promotion in the US. Only someone like Brooke Hogan is a bigger drain on their respective companies.

There are only a few reasons I can even think of that she has kept her job in TNA this long, and most of them revolve around the thought that she must be a swinging partner with Dixie and her husband or something. Of course, I am being a little facetious, but There are literally THOUSANDS! of people walking the street right now that could do her job, and would be willing to do it for a lot less money. Dixie has already proven she is willing to screw the KO's financially, so why should Christy Hemme stand out as someone who has been put on an unreasonably high pedestal of better than expected treatment? She's not even a star. Dixie has to have some kind of personal fascination with her, (not necessary sexual) like Vince was alleged to have with HBK when he was a total jerk and the most difficult person to work with in WWF. Vince took far more crap from him than he would have from anyone else, or would since, according to just about everyone who ever has a thing to say about that time period. The major difference is that HBK actually had unique talent and would have been hard, but not impossible to replace. Hemme is the most replaceable person in TNA.

      • xenocea says:

You must really hate her xD

        • OldManEaston says:

Actually I could care less about her, I don't know her, but it is not right that she makes more than virtually than every other KO who has ever walked through TNA's doors for simply being a pretty face, while people like Taylor Wilde had to be employed at the Sunglasses hut, that they humiliated Roxxi for basically wages below poverty level or that Nigel MgGuinness had to get a job at a deli counter like Randy the Ram Robinson, and was then summarily let go by TNA a month before getting well of Hep B, all for cost saving measures, While Christy Hemme is on this pedestal in TNA. It in not right.

          • xenocea says:

Unfortunately there are people who overpaid and get way more credit then they deserve. Such as Tim Crook of apple. He barely does anything, yet he's received the highest salary paid just because he's CEO. Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian receiving attentions and getting fortunes just cause they came from a rich family.

  4. Dependant says:

Pretty simple shes not even a good announcer to be pressuring over and for her to be upset at this legitly is crazy Aries actually helped her out by making it feel less awkward …..

  5. whatsup121 says:

first of all Christy Hemme can't even figure out who's coming to the ring. especially with the theme music
also that is his corner that he stands in when him & Roode come out so she shoudn't have been in the corner anyways why she was not standing in the center of the ring who knows

  6. whatsup121 says:

Christy Hemme: F-ED Up and Aries was trying to cover for her

  7. Philly_Cheese says:

More than likely AA did it as a heel move, and some wrestlers go the distance when working as a heel (AA being one of those types). More than likely they talked it out backstage. I'm sure Hemme understands taking things a step to far in the ring, and not realizing it until after the fact.

  8. TwIsTeD_EnEmY says:

The way Aries acted after she got the introduction "wrong", I couldn't tell if it was a work or real.
    I'm still not sure
    Well done by Aries though

  9. HolsG says:

Not many women would be pissed with that….lol
They'll make it up, everyone screws up at some point or other. Although as others have said she might not have cared that much and her twitter response was more of playing the gimmick

  10. Ultimate_X says:

i can see why she's upset, but i dont think he was trying to upset her, he saved her really, because i dont think she was going to do anything about her mistake, it would have been far more embarassing for her if she'd had to announce the same thing twice in a row!

  11. KeizerGodzilla says:

I don't care what anyone says, it was NOT needed. I hope Aries gets some sort of punishment out of it. Someone did that to my girlfriend, wrestler or not, I'd punch them in the face.

  12. Blood Runs Cold says:

The majority of you are making a bigger deal out of it than it is (Hemme included) A Double did the heel thing to do. Hemme even broke character and was laughing at A double.
