Dixie Carter Comments On The TNA Sale Rumors

Dixie Carter recently spoke about the recent rumors that TNA was up for sale and that Billy Corgan was interested in buying it. Carter shot down the rumors again and said she joked with Corgan about the rumors via text.

Carter said, “Since we have been in business going on 12 years now, this has been an ongoing (speculation), ‘Oh, we’re going out of business. We’re not going to make it…Ever since we started, people were taking odds on how long we would last. This last time I think a lot of it was perpetuated by a story that Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins was going to buy it. I texted Billy and I said, ‘Oh really, so you’re going to buy my company? Are you excited? That’s cool.’ And he said, ‘Oh, don’t you love rumors.'”

You're just feeding the machine. Of course she'd deny it lol what is she supposed to say, we've gone over this the last few months TNA would be the last ones to let it get out from them or break the news. It'll be sold in the next 2 years mark it.

TNA isn't doing nearly as bad as wwe was about 20 years ago….. look back at wrestlemania 9…. chuck what wikipedia says, theres no way there were 19,000 people there…. and they were ready to close down because wcw was dominating wrestling period.

i dont believe u that WWF in the 90s made nearly as bad as TNA nowadays. and never heard of rumors WWF were ready to close down. WCW was dominating 2 Years only that was from 1996 to 1998.

The WWE needs TNA if you look at it, wrestling was at its highest peak when there was active compition between WCW and WWE. Vince was an idiot for purchasing WCW he should have just let it implode on it’s own as it was happening. He tried the monopolize wrestling and it imploded in his face, now his brand is nothing more than watered down acting. An it’s in my mind it’s some pretty bad acting, the WWE is too BIG for its own good and at some point it also will implode if they(WWE) don’t get rid of some of the shows that it has. To show you the size of the WWE it has to purge itself every year of wrestling personnel. If Vince is smart in my opinion he(Vince) needs TNA to grow so there is compition and that creates $$$$. In any sector of business you need compition or you will slowly but surely the demand for your product will start to decline. So it’s in my opinion that WWE needs TNA like TNA needs the WWE. In short they both need each other !!!
