I've recently been led to believe that they announce this at every house show …. ?

  2. Philly_Cheese says:

I think Hebner is probably THE most well known referee in wrestling.

  3. Get_Carter says:

They announce this at almost every house show. It's a ploy to sell Hebner's "Damn Right I Did It" shirts.

  4. Dependant says:

Man I would of lost count.

  5. JoeWrestling says:

Yes, he counts every match. Just buy the old man's shirt, it's like $10.

HAHAHAHA I'VE BEEN HEARING THIS FOR MONTHS AND JUST NOW YOU'RE MAKING A "NEWS" ARTICLE ABOUT IT? GOD DAMN IT, I AM EMBARRASSED TO COME TO THIS SITE. BAD ENOUGH THIS IS A HUGE LIE.

  7. Get_Carter says:

I know this is "news and rumor" site, but I wish the "staff" would do a bit more to verify information before posting it. It appears this is all based on the house show report from Mississippi. I'm not faulting the guy that wrote the house show report (it was actually pretty good) as he stated it was his first house show. But anyone that has been to more than one house show knows that 1) Earl does his Brett Hart shtick with the glasses and then reveals his "Damn Right" shirt and 2) Earl is handling his 10,000th match that night so his autographed shirts are a *special* $10.00. This has been the same for the last three or four years. This tidbit of information would have been very easy to verify as not true if someone actually took the time.

Its pretty easy to verify as a lie… hes been a ref 25 years… if he reffed a match every single day of those 25 years it would only be 9,125 times, granted sometimes a ref works a cpl matches in the night, they don't work 7 days a week esp back in the 80's

      • Philly_Cheese says:

Actually if you go back to the early 90s until the attitude era, he was probably doing far more than you'd believe. With his days working for WWE (17 years) and lets say he averages 3 matches a show, and did about 200 shows a year (which would be a pretty light schedule for WWE considering many wrestlers work 320+ days of the year), he'd still clear a little over 10k.

  8. Mutter5 says:

    who keeps count?

  9. Roid Master says:

In how many of those matches, did he pretend to be knocked out just long enough for the heel to gain the advantage with a foriegn object or outside interference?
