Early TNA iMPACT! Rating #’s Are In ….

Thursday’s “Hardcore Justice” edition of TNA iMPACT! Wrestling on Spike TV drew 1.319 million viewers, up from the 1.179 million viewers who tuned into Impact Wrestling last week.

The increase in ratings is definitely a positive for the company, as the show went up against another round of NFL pre-season games on ESPN, as well as other locally television games. The ESPN game on Thursday night drew 2.969 million viewers. The highest rated show on cable on Thursday, however, was once again Pawn Stars, which drew 4.388 million viewers and 4.207 million viewers for their two back-to-back 30 minute episodes.

While the 1.319 million viewers for the “Hardcore Justice” edition of iMPACT! Wrestling is up from last week’s show, it is down from the last pay-per-view themed show, as the “Destination X” edition of Impact Wrestling on July 18th drew 1.494 million viewers.

Pawn Stars got 4.38. Proving society is dumb and ratings dont matter.

Anybody see the movie "Idiocracy". It is a prophecy. One day "Ouch my balls" will win in the ratings

^ Best Comment Ever, but is that really a show?

Insert random political comment here that ties with the movie "Idiocracy".

You know, the very same thing could easily be said about professional wrestling, and has.
I mean lets face facts, we all watch a show that if you take it for face value, is the corniest bunch of fake play fighting, grabasstic, low brow entertainment this side of Jerry Springer….so yeah. I'm not sure we want to go there.

Pawn Stars is not my cup of tea, it is pretty much repetitive and boring, but it is nowhere near the level of that train wreck "Hardcore Pawn". NOW THAT is Idiocracy, LOL!

Wrestling is low brow? I thought we were watching the last bastion for the arts. I guess you think Morton Downey Jr is low brow too. The irony is that the same logic in show names is used between "Pawn stars", "Hardcore Pawn", and "TNA", yet people rant about the name TNA as stupid, ha!

I would have to say, IMO, this was a better show than Dest. X.

solid numbers trending in the right direction. hopefully now that Brooke Hogan is gone the ratings can go up like those fake balloons she has…
