Ex-TNA Talent Rob Van Dam Nearly Hit By A Car

Rob Van Dam revealed on Twitter that a car crashed into the restaurant where he was eating over the weekend. He wrote:

Enjoyed the Ocala Comic Con today, then came this restaurant w/my parents and look what just happened 30 feet away!

Rob also tweeted this photo of the car inside the restaurant. Yikes – sounds like he got lucky.

I bet he wouldn't have sold for the car either…

      You’re an idiot

    • TROOF says:

Are you kidding me? You guys can concoct up the "No Job Rob" bs which is false anyway but you can't sit there and say RVD doesn't sell. One of RVD's biggest selling points in the ring as of late is "selling moves". RVD has sold many DDTs and kicks very well. He tries his best to make his opponent look good. That you can't take away.

      • godoftna says:

You're right in that RVD did sell moves in his matches. I mean, he sold the hell out of that lame ass attack by Abyss a couple years back when he was beaten by the spiked bat and then back on tv within 2 weeks. But the facts ARE that he rarely, if ever, did a job for anyone who was below his level in an effort to help elevate that performer. Aside from his X division title loss to Kenny King, which was done because of the fact that RVD's contract was coming up due, who else did he job to in his time with TNA that wasn't already a main event star?

        • Peckar says:

You talk as though he has full control of his character and the outcome. He doesn't. Didn't even have control of the moves he could use as he has said in interviews. He was 4th and fifth in the BFG series. Hell Gunner finished above him. He put over plenty of people, short memories some have.

        • TROOF says:

RVD was far from Goldberg or undefeated in TNA. The man lost tons of matches. He lost to Robbie E for crying out loud.

          • godoftna says:

Ok, nobody said that RVD was undefeated in his time with TNA. But there is a big differenece between losing a match, and doing a job to put someone over. In the majority of RVD's losses, outside interference was involved. RVD is much like Hogan was back in the day. Hogan lost many matches, but in very few of those losses did his opponent gain any benefit from said victory. Aside from Jerry Lynn, virtually no one has gained anything from gaining a victory over RVD, and Lynn never even beat him when they were in ECW. And I'm not including any main event talents as they had nothing to gain from him. RVD always was made to look good in his matches, but what did he do to make his opponents look good? Not much.

          • TROOF says:

He has lost to Crimson, Gunner, Roode, and Austin Aries clean at house shows. Hell, RVD even sold a DDT to the outside from Gunner and was out for about 3-4 months. This idea of RVD not putting people over and not trying to get people over is ridiculous. You people want the guy to be Brooklyn Brawler or something? He's a high profile superstar. Of course, he's going to be protected by TNA to an extent. TNA always protect their high profile stars. His whole time in TNA, RVD was nothing but a whipping boy for TNA fans to shit all over. And on the WWE fanboy side, they saw RVD as nothing but a jobber in TNA. You can never please internet fans.

        Especially on DDTs and Cutter!

    • godoftna says:

Even if the car hit him, he would have come back with a springboard thrust kick, rolling thunder, and the 5 star frog splash for the win, lol

  2. RatherBeAtNitro says:

Lucky he posted a picture or I would have just thought this was RVD imagining something while stoned.

    • Goeroe1981 says:

Wow if you can see things from being stoned, you would have achieved the impossible. Why is everybody hammering on him being stoned? As long as he's fit and not stoned at work there should be no problem. Even though RVD is not my favorite wrestler.

  3. JoeWrestling says:

    dude, where's my car?

  4. lee4tammy says:

    i think i smell a rat

  5. jbcissom says:

I wonder how long it takes this site to put up an article about Sting possibly joining WWE again. Other sites have them up because of a video WWE aired last night. Of course, everyone is forgetting to mention that HH was in that video as well.

  6. Goeroe1981 says:

Waiter!!! There is a car in my soup!

  7. TheMiwyun says:

    Was goldberg driving>?
