The only bright-side to this… maybe Hogan never wrestles a match after this.

"maybe Hogan never wrestles a match after this."

HAHA…No! When he comes to the ring using a walker, he will still be talking about his last match, and will probably suffer the fans at some point to watching him take out whatever faction with his motorized scooter.

      • hosersrock says:

lol…oh hell he will be still yakking about his last match 5 years after he is pushing up daisies…lol

If this match happens, I am actually done. Like as a fan, we usually joke around saying we are sick of the product and we won't watch anymore, and we end up still watching. However this? sorry, Hogan, I have respect for him, but it's 2013! TWENTY-THIRTEEN! not 1996, if this match happens instead of AJ Styles/James Storm vs Bully Ray, then I would just suggest never watching this product until it is fixed. Most fans will agree, Hogan doesn't even draw on PPV (from what we've heard).

I am done paying for ppv's anyway. He can hobble around till his hearts content for all I care. They are going to have to find new revenue streams, It is not economically responsible at this point to waste money on them from my point of view. The economy is just too damn bad, and groceries are going up through the roof. Literally every time I go to the store, it is a substantially bigger bill for less. Even staples are going through the roof. Banks are paying basically nothing in interest on anything they offer and my health insurance premiums just went up to almost 300 dollars a month over***ht, thanks to the implementation of Obamacare. At some point, if I don't want to be digging in the dumpsters when I retire, I have to trim the fat. Sorry wrestling, sorry TNA, you really don't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Best synopsis of the wrestling business I've read in a while.

@OldManEaston – sorry to hear of your problems though. Stay well!

    • Philly_Cheese says:

I stopped watching for the most part two months ago, mostly because I got sick of seeing Hogan. It seems like every storyline has him involved or focused around him, and after a while I got sick of it. I occasionally will watch it online and just skim through it to see what happened, but that's about it. For a show that has an hour and a half of content, I end up watching about 20 minutes (usually being one match I actually find interesting, and a couple minutes skimming through the story).

Hogan is the reason TNA can't move forward.Hogan requires to much air time and needs to be in the main angle.Dixie Carter needs to shot this down.

    • nwoforlife says:

what the blank you talking about tna is out of the impact zone because of hogan hogan got them on the road where they should of been 9 years ago hogan is why tna got rid of the circus 6 side ring thank god tna right now is putting on a better promotion then wwe the matches are better then wwe

      • Philly_Cheese says:

They were putting on matches better than WWE for years before Hogan came around… You're forgetting just how many fans he pissed off by getting rid of the six sided ring (some people liked it, myself being one of them)… Also the whole going on the road thing can't be attributed to Hogan, the fans have been begging TNA for at least the past 8 years to fully go on the road.

If they made a title match for Hogan, or even worse gave him the title: the company would lose a HUGE amount of credibility. It would be looked at as one step away from the David Arquette being given the title in WCW. Hogan has seriously become a spotlight hog, and it's been known for decades that he is and will never change.

        • TheBossOfPW says:

Until you show me a single event where someone paid to look at the ring (or even a football game where people came to look at the field) instead of the sport, the claim that the six sided ring claim is BS. No one and I mean no one pays to see the ring.

      • hangers says:

Yes, Hogan has done so much to improve the ratings…

  4. kevinroulette says:

Im sure this wont happen ,but i do think Hogan should have a retirement match . Everyone bitchs about hulk but hes doing a great job i think. It was him who said tna needed to be live and on the road. the product had got so much better i think.

    • jbcissom says:

I agree with you. Hogan has done several good things for TNA backstage-wise. In-ring-wise, he hasn't done much. His name can still be used, as it is being used right now, but him head-lining a PPV, nuh-uh.

      • nwoforlife says:

i don't think hogan should have any more matches ether because his body cant take the pounding like he used to he and tna needs to think about what could happen to him but hogan will be hogan and will not stop until he dies in the ring the people around him needs to tell him its over man think about it i would love to see hogan do what he does best but time has come to stick with the gm part of wrestling our make a stable of guys to fight the fight so to speek

      • Philly_Cheese says:

My thoughts exactly… Him being involved in every single major story has started to kill it for me, and I find myself skimming through the shows and watching about 20 minutes worth. Hogan thinks he draws, but clearly he doesn't, the ratings have been worse in recent years.

      • tnadude says:

Hogan can headline ONE more PPV. IF (key word) he chooses to make it a TRUE retirement match.

At that point, YES, he could contend for (and win) the WHC. If he had such a match in TNA, and got the press that it would get, and TNA got the positive press from sending him out with the strap, not only could it generate a ton of revenue for the company, but if the rest of the card were off the charts, it could launch TNA to new heights.

Is this likely? No. I agree with @OldManEaston when he says that Hogan will be coming to the ring in his walker. I'm also not sure how TNA could sell it to fans that are used to seeing retirement match after retirement match.

But the possibility (however remote) does exist.

      • ricky_No1 says:

Its not improved now they are out of the impact zone. if anything its worse and it didnt take hogan to get em out anyway. It could happen without him. As always he just takes credit for other peoples work.

      • ricky_No1 says:

And what exactly is it he has done?

  5. annil8or4321 says:

no no no that is not a good idea at all. BFG should be exellent not lame

  6. jp says:

I get Hogan wants.his one.last match, I get it, but to actually have it is ridiculous. If they wanna let him do one more match on Impact, fine, but BFG? Your biggest show of the year? No way can someone who is in his shadow can headline your company’s WrestleMania. It’s time his ego is checked at the door, and he isn’t doing it, so someone, PLEASE DO IT FOR HIM! TNA has finally been getting it right with their ppvs lately and this will undo ALL THAT!

    • TheBossOfPW says:

People don't tune it after it's over. The point of having Hogan headline the biggest show of the year for one last chance at the gold is to try to bring in the casual fans who otherwise wouldn't tune into TNA. And those that do tune in just to see Hogan only care about seeing him rip his shirt, cup his ear, Hulk up and win. Give them that and they will be happy. Use Hogan as your hook.

Meanwhile the rest of the card has to be stacked with the best matches possible in order to wow the crowd and hopefully get them to tune in next week.

Despite his age Hogan is still the biggest draw TNA has. Younger guys may be better athletes but they've shown for 11 years that they can't draw flies with honey. TNA is smart to use Hogan if he is capable and then win the crowd over with great greatling from the rest of the roster.

  8. DJBIGCG says:

If tna has hulk hogan vs bubba ray dudley (or bully ray) at bound for glory, which is tna version on the wwe's wrestlemania, that would be pretty funny. I mean come on, hogan can barely move, and will be main eventing your version of wrestlemania

  9. Kingmidaz23 says:

Yall keep blaming Hogan! but he has no Creative control! blame the writers for using his brand to keep TNA in competition with WWE! stop acting like its Hogans fault! he just plays his script and gets his check! and even at his old rusty state he pulls in at least 33% more people into arenas that woulda never bought a ticket! get your facts straight and stop raggin hulkamania when thats the only reason TNA has survived !

  10. whatsup121 says:

don't forget Hogan did say he wanted to be champ again

  11. WARISNAUGHTY says:

I fucking called it. Yeah if this match happens I'll walk away and only come back when he fucks of. He takes up too much T.V time and now they have buried Morgan who was meant to be a heel monster.

    • TheBossOfPW says:

Morgan has NEVER amounted to anything thus far in his career. He's been the ultimate underachiever. The biggest thing that could happen to him is if he is somehow involved with the whole Hogan title angle. Hell, maybe he'll help Hogan win the title and beat Hogan up just to get and title shot and assure that it's against the old man. You don't know what the plans are. But to say that Hogan is somehow responsible for Morgan never achieving was was expected of him is ridiculous.

  12. yeshuadabest says:

Next year will be the same rumor about Hogan wrestling "Insert Wrestlers Name Here" for the TNA Title and it will generate the same response.

    • TheBossOfPW says:

It only shows that Hogan is still the biggest name in wrestling and all the people who claim to hate him or don't care are the first to jump at his every move. HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN: the greatest of all time.
