Hulk Hogan Woud Have Stripped Jeff Hardy Of TNA Title

Fighting Spirit Magazine is featuring more quotes from a recent interview with TNA’s Hulk Hogan where he talks about current TNA Champion Jeff Hardy missing the recent UK tour due to legal reasons preventing him from overseas travel due to his arrest back in 2009. Hogan is quoted as saying he would have stripped Hardy of the title before the tour.

“Dixie runs the company, but if it was up to me and it had been my decision, Bobby Roode would have been a great champion to have right now. The (UK) tour plus a champion makes sense; a tour with no champion doesn’t make sense. [But] I choose my battles; some people look at the picture differently to how I do.”

I wonder if the internet marks will finally agree with Hogan this time. Nag they would love Hitler before they did that

    • soyfenomenal says:

      What's wrong with loving Hitler!?

    • tnadude says:

I usually agree with Hogan. Conceptually, I agree with him here as well. But had they not taken their foot off the gas on James Storm, he would have been a heck of a champion to take to London. Roode is a great heel, but a face champion would have made more sense. Storm v. Ray at Lockdown with Aces & 8s interfering would have been better than Hardy anyway.

Just imagine the Cowboy going crazy in London. Could have been priceless.

you can read what say an not be dlock out for saying think not like wwe as for hogan i agree

  2. Mr. Excitement says:

Hogan's right about the champion should always be present. But didn't matter for the UK tour because the TNA fan base there is huge. Without Hardy the events sold out anyway.

  3. jbcissom says:

The progression of the Sting & team TNA build up against A&8 for Lockdown along with Roode and Aries helped a lot with no Hardy on the tour.

You don't want to be predictable, but not having your champ on an overseas tour isn't the best for business.

hulk would do alot of things if dixie wasnt the boss. the only reason things are stable is because of dixie. i bet hulk would try to do alot of things too fast. like he did with the stupid Monday night wars when he first came in. hulk is nice and all, but he not too bright

  5. UCEAD11 says:

yeah that does make a lot of sense. Every other title went over seas. But on a different note, I think it would make a great seg way if Hogan strips the title from Jeff and gives it to bully. Only to have Jeff Head of Aces and eights. Turn them against Devon and Get to Dudleys back together again. Make Aces and 8's more of a youth movement. Retain the big guys for muscle but everyone else be apart of a youth movement. This would get the younger generation behind that group.

everyone want team 3d back, im sorry that ship move on they are single wrestler and they will be like that from now on. it was nice while they were a team for what 20 years. but im glad we see them in a different way.

  6. Philly_Cheese says:

Hopefully people in TNA begin realizing that by having the TNA champion not around for a few weeks might help a little. People really don't like having someone forced down their throat by making the whole show about the champion like they have so much lately.

    • tna24 says:

it a nice mix and with less PPVs there no need for him to be on every show.

      • Philly_Cheese says:

You're right, but i don't know if they'll actually see this or listen to people… We know once it comes back to the US the whole show will focus around Hardy and the championship again. Anyone who enjoyed the attitude era knew that fans didn't care about who was champion, it was just an added thing. It was about the whole "what are they going to do next?!" thing. Some of the most popular stories during that time were so huge not because it was about the championship, but because it was entertaining…

  7. Leg Drop Jobber says:

I'm sensing some cracks in the TNA/Hogan relationship. This is at least the 2nd comment he has publicly made recently against things involving TNA.

  8. adam smoke says:

Dixies in charge not hogan end off 🙂

  9. lee4tammy says:

i used to be a hogan hater but over the last 6 months i have changed my mind about him

i thought he was in tna for the money an for himself but after reading articles like this it seems that he is starting to care more and more about tna

  10. hangers says:

I agree with Hogan on this one, I'd rather see the strap on roode or aries period, I'm bored with Jeff, he offers nothing new. One comment doesn't make a company though…

    • ariesstormjoe says:

roode had a fairly long title reign, aries had a good title reign whilst short it made him a main eventer.

think tna have a host of guys they could have as WHC. roode, aries even though they were recent champions, hardy, storm, daniels, bully ray (as heel tho), angle, aj styles.

      • soyfenomenal says:

I love Aries but his reign was horrible.

        • hangers says:

Are you serious? I enjoyed his time with the strap much more than I do Jeff's..
In terms of dropping the strap, roode or aries made sense in terms of simplicity for the tour, id love to see someone like BR or daniels hold the strap but there needs to be a damn good build up and storyline around it..

  11. powerbomb says:

TNA knew Jeff Cena was unable to travel due to his problems with the law the simple solution was to le Christopher Daniels win the title with an unclean victory over Jeff also resulting in Jeff being out of action for a month due to a serious injury caused by Daniels then have Daniels be the ultimate heel in TNA and Have Hulk Hogan very angry at Daniels and have Hogan start a tournament to choose a new number one contender and fight Daniels for the TNA title on the last episode of Impact at the UK and have Daniels win again with another unclean victory over his oponent and see Daniels celebration of his successful defence be interupted by an angry Jeff Cena video telling Daniels they will fight at Lockdown and as usual have Jeff win the TNA title at least that would have made more sence and benefit the company and the fans

  12. IHNSAIN says:

so hogan doesent have the pull bk stage as much as u all seem to think cause every bad idear seems to come from hogan as far as most of this site thinks
