Is RVD In Talks With TNA?, + A TNA Video Game?

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

— The latest rumor coming out of TNA is that the company is close to signing a new video game deal. We hope to have more on this shortly.

— While Rob Van Dam is said to be considering signing with either WWE or TNA, word is that he has not had any recent talks with TNA. As noted yesterday here on the website, RVD will return to the ring on June 21st for Family Wrestling Entertainment in Queens, NY at the ELMCOR Center. He will be facing former WWE and ECW rival Tommy Dreamer in Van Dam’s first post-TNA match. The event will also feature John Morrison vs. Carlito, a 30 Man Rumble, Paul London vs. Akio (Jimmy Wang Yang), Petey Williams vs. Brian Kendrick and more.

I hope this game is on PC also this time would be the first time in ages that a wrestling game would be on the PC, probably the first time ever actually.

WWF raw was on pc, wasn't the best game, THQ had a new one planned but they canceled it. Thankfully a decent PC can emulate the Wii versions

early 90s had wwf game on pc back im the win 95 dos days. also wwf raw 1 was pm pc . crap game though. oh and wcw nitro was on pc. meh to that as well but better than wwf raw not by much.

I love PC games but do you mean exclusively for PC or do you want the game to be available to Consoles & PC?
It would be interesting on PC, Mods for Superstar creation and for custom matches, would be pretty cool.

  2. hangers says:

RVD did sweet FA in terms of drawing crowds or rating with his time in TNA. Heard more stories about his pro marajuiana stance than any standout match that he had..

  3. Stunner says:

I hope RVD signs with the WWE it would be the right place for him. He just doesn’t fit what TNA is doing besides No Job Rob needs to learn and he will in the WWE how to lose gracefully. He will be mid card in the WWE and then get burned out on the schedule

  4. Stunner says:

About time TNA needs another game and I hope it has a career mode to the WHC

  5. Blood Runs Cold says:

I for one am excited at the thought of another TNA wrestling game. Impact wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad. (There are FAR worse wrestling games) hopefully Activison gets it right. Funny thing, I mentioned back in 2010 that I thought 2K should pick up TNA & make a game, now they have WWE. I’m hoping Activison can take the good things from impact and improve on it. Also better animations/controls. The biggest thing they’ll need to add is a CC like what WWE has. Customization is second key behind game play.

  6. KGill28 says:

RVD should go to the WWE, so him and John Cena could run wild, brother.

  7. Mr. Excitement says:

I doubt the game will be available on PC.
Console wrestling games have much better sales.

    • NotCookz says:

You're basing that off the fact that a wrestling game hasn't been available on the PC market in 6 years?

  8. whatsup121 says:

a wrestling game compatible across the board would be great cause they it's please all the fans X-Box, PS3 or PS4 , wii , pc , etc

  9. whatsup121 says:

please god let the talks be a NO with RVD

  10. TNA_fan says:

Honesty RVD was not a good fit for TNA ,I think he'll do a lot better in WWE.
