Jeff Hardy recently spoke about how much Hulk Hogan has helped TNA and more. Here are the highlights…

On critics who say that TNA is filled with washed up former WWE wrestlers trying to collect a paycheck: “You know, I’m not sure. We’re way different than WWE. We may never be as big as WWE, but the cool thing about TNA is that we are the alternative. So people who get tired and bored with the WWE – I’ve been there, I understand – there’s an alternative and something else to watch. For special wrestlers, there’s somewhere else to go – as long as you’re not brainwashed by that WWE mentality. There’s other worlds out there; it’s OK to switch around.”

On How Hulk Hogan has Helped TNA: “Just being Hulk Hogan and here in TNA is huge; Sting is here, too. They’re big-time involved with the younger guys whether its advice their style, compliments on a good job or giving some kind of direction. They are big-time involved and I think it definitely helps to have them and their knowledge here to help these guys that (previously) didn’t get it that much. It helps slow them down and work smarter. Even just character-wise, they help all talent here.”

On Toning Down His In Ring Style: “I can’t tell you how many times I heard, ‘Man, you don’t have to do all that stuff.’ Well, okay, then what do I do? If I didn’t do what I do – even now – I think it would really be hard to be Jeff Hardy (in the ring); a complete character change, whatever it may be. Yeah, I feel pressure, but I think overall smarter now.”

On How He Feels: “I’m 35 now and I’m feeling pretty good now. I’m taking extremely good care of myself. I think my daughter has a lot to do with my new-found success and my belief in myself,” Hardy said. “Overall, I think I’m just lucky, and I hope I continue to be lucky. But I do get a lot more nervous now. But, I’m doing good, I’m doing good, and everything is all right.”

On Who He Likes To Work With: “There’s so many talent guys here. I’ve worked with Austin Aries several times, Bobby Roode; those guys are phenomenal. There’s guys like A.J. Styles; he’s unbelievable. These kinds of guys are just getting it done, man. And when they do get the chances, they take full advantage,” Hardy said. “It just takes time, the product is going to get better and better. I don’t know what the next five or ten years will bring, but I definitely think TNA will continue to grow. I’m not sure where exactly it’s going or how it’s going to be but it’s definitely going to be changing the game.”

On Comparing TNA and WWE: “We’re way different than WWE. There’s other worlds out there; it’s okay to switch around.”

I love how critics make a huge deal about former WWE wrestlers working for TNA, like they're supposed to run around the indy circuit for the rest of their career making next to nothing, all because WWE released them… That's like saying the same stuff when all those wrestlers left WWE for WCW or vice versa because they didn't like the way things were run or got fired…

and yet..i hear people bitch about guys leaving TNA to go to WWE..its the same deal..most of these guys would make more money in WWE..yet all the TNA diehards bitch when people jump to WWE for more money..

Very true, there's people who complain people jump ship. Sometimes people just complain because they knew it was a mistake, such as gail kim. Sometimes wrestlers leave TNA for WWE simply because of the better pay, and the better chance to advance themselves. Lets face it TNA and WWE are two completely different companies who are looking for different things.

WWE will only pick up a wrestler if they have two of three things, tall, ripped, and young, with only a few exceptions which is those which have a HUGE cult following in the indys such as Byran.

TNA seems to focus more on the talent of the wrestler rather than how they look. For example, look at all the people from Gut Check. Seems like TNA is raiding the indys for wrestlers WWE won't give a chance (because they're to short, to old, not ripped/muscled out to hell), who are dieing to do something more.
