Major Angle Planned For iMPACT! – Interim General Manager

TNA President Dixie Carter tweeted Wednesday afternoon that an “Interim General Manager” will be revealed during the opening segment of Thursday’s live show. Carter tweeted the following:

“While Hulk Hogan is recovering, I’ve asked another man to step in and take control,” she tweeted. “He appears right at 8/7 Central on (Spike TV) tomorrow.”

Eric Bischoff then followed up with the following tweet: It’s about to get real interesting!

All these new things going on in TNA right now, its a great time to be a fan.

  2. I hope it's someone like Mike Foley. Can you believe they made that AJ GM of Raw? How in the blue hell is that entertaining? Hopefully TNA isn't stupid and knows who to book as GM

  3. KPJ says:

It would be funny if its Joseph Parks. Chris Pars brother You know Abyss. Sorry I just had to do it.

  4. Dante_Cross says:

Hm, wonder what role Chavo will play in his debut.

  5. milleniumcowboy says:

i don't think Chavo will have anything to do with it, I think it will be reserved for a Piper type a semi-retired big name – maybe Sting again or Nash someone of that nature I think. Either way it is not a good angle as we have all been there and seen that again and again and again…

  6. Stunner says:

WHAT… As long as its not Bischoff then I’m fine with that! I still can’t beleive he tried to push HIS SON to the MOON what an EPIC FAIL! I think it’s STING, and yes things are about to get real interesting. Bishoff & Aces&eights wil try and ” Takeover TNA ie (NWO style) if you don’t see this one coming then well… WCW started jumping with the “Takeover Angle” ! LAME!:-)

    • Peckar says:

I am thinking it may be Bischoff, bugger.

    • PennyAnd1 says:

What's wrong with Bischoff? He may have a bad rep, but the guy knows business and is a very interesting character unlike Paul "BIG MOUTH" Haymen. I think Garret Bischoff is a good wrestler. He's fit & it's not like he's being pushed higher compared to the rest, he paying his dues. Don't hate the son cause you hate the father, that's just lame. Oh and I like WCW. WCW had a realistic feeling to wrestling back then, and i'm not talking about the WCW that Vince Russo led I'm talking about the WCW that Bischoff lead without the financial and favoring fiasco behind the scenes. WCW was a man's show back then where the big boys played, not some silly characters & silly catch-phrases that WWE defines wrestling today.

      • Peckar says:

Oh god really? Garrett has paid his dues? Hasn't even wrestled a year and paid his dues? You have your head in the clouds penny, he is as green as the grass in my backyard. Not to mention Eric already had a go at pushing him hard and failed. Heyman as a character is far better than Bischoff. If you watched the Raw 1000 you can see he was getting personal with Stephanie and was upsetting her ( I don't think she is that good of a actress). Heyman would take up a ten minute segmaent, Eric at least thirty minutes. Some people have short memories. Biscoff was the centre piece along with Hogan for damn near 18 months, move the fuk on.

        • PennyAnd1 says:

Garrett is working off cameras dumba$$ probably to work more on his in-ring skills. Yeah he's not in the spotlight cause he's not getting the push contrary to what you were claiming. Heyman was good during ECW, but because his wrestlers were putting their body on the line. None of those wrestlers would've end up great in the end if they continued. Face it Heyman is only good when he breaks boundaries. How can you not get tired of the fata$$ whining and whining. He freakin' takes longer than Bischoff on the mic, what you watchin'? Heyman whacks around the bushes with his speech, Bischoff goes straight to the point. I dunno, it just seems like im watching a soap-opera when I'm watching Heyman, I don't take him seriously at all. He's more annoying than Vicky Guerrero (or almost). ECW is dead, move on slapnut.

          • Peckar says:

He is supose to be annoying he is a heel lmfao. I moved on a long time ago buddy, just making a simple comparison. Time his segment, just over ten minutes. He was pushed, it failed. Remeber the "Garrett is the next big thing in wrestling Brother". Like I said, short memories. How in the hell would you know what he is doing behind the cameras other than what you see on the show. Cheers for the thumb down it really hurts my feelings dribble d!ck (slapnut how original, you write your own stuff?)

          • PennyAnd1 says:

No assclown. He's not even acting to be annoying. He is annoying!LMAO His segment maybe 10 min (you actually timed it?) lol, but it sure does feel alot longer. You know why? Cause what comes out of his mouth is gibberish beating the bush not getting straight to the point. And of course they hype new wrestlers coming out nimrod, it's called selling. What else would wrestlers do if they're not in front of the camera? Just sit there and wait? dumb! just pure dumb thinking in your part dipshit.

          • Peckar says:

Garrett was a wrestler? Could have fooled me. Guess you are a genius. (nimrod, ass clown, dipshit, oh well done Bilbo) *applause*

          • PennyAnd1 says:

well i'm glad you came back into your senses. I rest my case.

          • Peckar says:

and yet you still thumbed me down lmao loser

  7. andy3323 says:

My apologizes, slightly off topic…..but just remembered I wanted to ask this…..Where has Gunner been since signing a contract extension? Anyone think he might turn up somewhere like Aces and 8s?? He has some good intensity.

Wonder if they would throw a swerve and make JJ interim GM in order to try and stop the attacks since everyone has been assuming or hoping he had a role in the attacks….leave some trust issues with the GM, rather or not he'd turn on TNA for ousting him…

    • SageStinger says:

I'm pretty sure JJ is leading Aces & 8's, but that's actually a hell of an idea. And I can't stand JJ! lol

    • Peckar says:

If you look at the wrestlers there last week, one bloke definetly has his size and long hair. He is there. JJ is also the leader it seems, maybe you are right, JJ for GM. Beats the shit out of Bischoff.

    • Dirk1n says:

      TNA needs JJ back

  8. JeffandJoker says:

    YUP. . . .

Just another thing that TNA is doing that WWE has done !!!!

    JUNK !!!!

Why the hell doesn't TNA do their own thing ???

Hogan had back surgery, So have him sit in his office with Chris Masters & Rob Terry as his new body guards. Then when Hogan gets better, he can have Terry & Masters work as a Tag Team !!!

    • SageStinger says:

Dude old stuff is rehashed in wrestling all the time. Get used to it, or turn the channel. You don't seem to enjoy TNA anyways…

      • toddmikki says:

thank you for stating the obvious, jeff complains about everything tna does, if they did exactly what he wanted them to do hed complain about them copying off of him.

      • ricky_No1 says:

Things do get rehashed i agree but TNA does nothing but mirror WWE. Get used to it.

        • SageStinger says:

I disagree. I mean, yes all wrestling promotions copy each other. It happens, it's always happened and it always will happen. TNA is doing a baby momma storyline right now that no one else is doing, or has ever done as far as I can remember. I'm also used to it too BTW, been watching this shit since 92' lol.

      • JeffandJoker says:

The problem with almost EVERYONE on this site is, You all just go with the flow !!!

EVERYONE is brain washed by Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff, and when TNA ends up just like WCW everyone is going to bitch about having to watch the WWE !!!

The Knockout Division is almost gone !!!!
        The X-Division is a huge mess !!!
The Tag Team Division is GONE !!!!

So tell me what TNA has left ???? They have WWE leftovers, and only a few home grown talent !!!

        • SageStinger says:

Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff didn't ruin WCW. When TBS and Time Warner merged, Time Warner didn't want WCW anymore. So Vince swooped in and bought it. Maybe if you open your eyes a little more you would see that when Bischoff came in the production value of TNA massively improved. Bischoff is off TV and Hogan isn't hogging time at all right now.

The Knockouts still have a very solid division. The BFG series is kind of taking away from a lot of things right now though. Honestly, velvet sky was great to look at, but not very good in the ring. The X-Division is being built back up as we speak, with some great wrestlers. So the only thing left to do is kick start the tag division.

So what does TNA have? They have great wrestlers, putting on great matches every week. They have some interesting storylines (Joseph Parks being one of my favorites right now) and they have Gut Check, which imo, is a very cool concept. Impact has been great the past 4 or 5 months. Maybe if you "went the flow" a little more you might enjoy it. If you're going to keep bashing the things TNA isn't doing, and blindly turn your head to the good things they are, i'm gunna start calling you NegativeNancy.

    • Dirk1n says:

Sitting puts huge pressure on your back, plus he'd have to travel to the shows which doctors would advise against

TNA will have a wrestler winning a match, WWE does that too… how far do you want to go with that?
WWE has referees, TNA has referees, etc

TNA have set it up so that someone runs the show, they had nobody last week and look what happened, they need someone to run the show, (and hire security) any company that loses a manager would replace them, it's not an issue of copying, it's basic business

    • Pippin0490 says:

I like how you complain about TNA doing the same as WWE and then say how you want TNA to bring in a former WWE talent in Chris Masters and then you suggest giving the GM a body guard, isn't that also something WWE has done?

    • TNAUK says:

WWE used to have cruiserweights and you keep moaning tna has no x division. WWE used to have a great tag division and you keep moaning tna has no tag division. WWE have loads of ‘attractive’ women who can’t wrestle and you moan that Velvet and Angelina have been released.

      Contradict yourself much?

TNA isn’t without problems but the things you claim are problems is ridiculous! I honestly can’t ever see you being happy with TNA so I’m not sure why you’re still watching.

    • PennyAnd1 says:

Chris Masters should debut with a better impact than being Hogan's cronies. That's just lame.

    • ariesstormjoe says:

the main things tna do which supposedly "copy" wwe i would say is just standard stuff.

"hey look tna have a guy that started off in roh as their main champion".

"well you know so does wwe. those copying wwe-lite b******s".

in showns shown on tv or in theatre for that matter. theres always been similar used ideas. all that matters imo is "did it work?" was it well written? or well chorographed if it was a fight scene for instance in a tv show or movie.

anyway its a way to take hogan off tv who cant do 52/52 shows a year.

  9. DigestivBiscuit says:

She really can't keep a secret?

    • toddmikki says:

The point wasnt to make it secret, its to get fans to watch RIGHT at 8, instead of turning the tv on at 9 like usual.

  10. Buseye says:

I know but I'm going to say it anyway.

    Jeff Jarrett for TNA GM

  11. ViceyThaShizzle says:

So are we going to have JJ as a type of Emperor Palpatine character? Playing the good guy as GM while all the while masterminding the attacks on his own roster as the leader of Aces and 8s? Hmm… could work if done properly.

  12. mean2u444 says:

an interim general manager? hmm, that sounds strikingly familiar. almost as if the 'E are doing it right now. ffs, can TNA not come up with their own stuff? come on guys. seriously.

  13. jbcissom says:

Please… for the love of God… keep Brooke Hogan away!!!!!!!

  14. toddmikki says:

sounds great and JJ would be perfect because than he can form his own promotion (Aces and eights) and possibly add a second show.

  15. Nova_numb says:

It will probably be Sting or someone like that. It isn't going to be anyone huge or TNA would be hyping it more. Also to JeffandJoker, TNA was doing the GM thing long before WWE started theirs. Go back and watch the Wednesday night PPVs when they were talking about the new Director of Authority for weeks before Eric Watts showed up as the guy. Omg TNA uses a ring that has ropes on it and WWE does too…Gawddd can't they do anything original. Dude you really need to stop posting on every topic with just senseless drivel. That makes perfect sense have Chris Masters debut as a body guard to team with Rob Terry. Yeah two heel characters being the Bodyguards for the face GM. Do you even know how wrestling works? Anyway I hope it is Jarrett but I'm betting on Sting.

  16. whatsup121 says:

How about the Ultimate Warrior as the new GM lol he's got the fued with Hogan maybe he's an Aces&8's member
