Major TNA Releases Coming Later Today

Source: Pwinsider.com

TNA is contacting a number of talents today to inform them that they’ve been released from their contracts in further cost-cutting moves. There may be as many as five to eight names released today.

The second name to be confirmed as released is Sam Shaw. Shaw won a slot with the company via the TNA Gutcheck program; he will appear on the Hardcore Justice One Night Only PPV that airs starting on Friday.

As noted earlier, Madison Rayne is also done with TNA for the time being.

People are gonna complain and say "whats the point of gut check if you're not gonna keep them?"

Gut Check is not a promise you'll be a star or even appear…. TNA never said that…….. Its a CHANCE…….. and that is what they get.

    • godoftna says:

While that's true, it's hard for these guys and girls to get their "chance" when TNA sparingly uses them. York has been released and he was one of the few solid talents that TNA signed.

  2. ViceyThaShizzle says:

The wrestlers can only do so much, they don't create their own storylines, how much airtime they get or who they want to feud with. It is down to the company to get them over too.

  3. godoftna says:

TNA needs to suspend Gutcheck until they can financially afford the cost of keeping these guys locked up to long term deals.

    • jbcissom says:

Not only that, but if they are going to do the segment, they need to do the thing in one night. Don't spread it over two episodes.

  4. bartman says:

I don’t see Crimson on the roster either

  5. nicholal79 says:

TNA keeps the Hogans, who don't wrestle, but, gut their in-ring talent instead!

    TNA GONNA TNA!

  6. Mr. Excitement says:

I thought Gut Check was a waste of time and money from the start. Instead of adding more people to the roster these years, should have focused more on their current performers.

    • TNA_fan says:

Agreed, why look for new talents (rosters) if some of the current wrestler's aren't being used?? IMO TNA should've gone after John Morrison and Melina, that could've been a pretty big signing, rather then Rampage, who we "might" not even see two often..
