More On Ric Flair’s Major Issues In Japan Today

Source: The Wrestling Observer

As noted earlier today here on the website, Ric Flair’s advertised return to the ring for All Japan Pro Wrestling on Saturday didn’t end up taking place after a badly swollen left leg prevented him from doing so. According to sources, Flair announced he would be unable to wrestle due to “doctor’s orders” before the show and apologized saying his son Reid would take his place. Flair was taken to the emergency room before the show and was told he could not wrestle.

Although he didn’t take part in a match, Flair was at ringside and ended up getting involved in the Seiya Sanada and Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Keiji Muto and Reid Flair match giving some chops to Sanada. The show had been sold out two days in advance with many feeling it would be the last chance they could see Flair wrestle. Live reports stated that many fans wanted refunds in the building and were very upset nothing was offered.

Flair was originally scheduled to appear on both RAW in San Jose and Smackdown in Sacramento this week, fly from San Francisco to Tokyo and then back to San Francisco for several autograph signings during Super Bowl weekend. No word on why he wasn’t involved in the WWE TV tapings and isn’t scheduled to appear at any following the Royal Rumble.

Classic Ric Flair….I'd be pissed off too if I paid money to see his "last match" and had to see his son get the "rub." Too many excuses Ric. Just get on the mic or be a manager, bro…He's become Scott Hall over the last 2 years.

It's typical of Flair, he was probably paid in advance too. He's developed a very long habit over the years of being fronted money, then not holding up his end of the deal.

Flair was in the hospital. He wasn't cleared to wrestle, yet he still showed up and did what he could.

Knock the guy for what he's done wrong (there's been plenty), but in is case, he actually showed quite a bit of class.

Why are peeps giving negative feedback? It's true. Flair was amazing in indies, WWF, WCW, WWE, TNA…then he just went apeshit not showing up/demanding money/making BS excuses. It's tiresome. I'm the biggest Flair fan as his wrestling/charisma are amazing…but if you can't show up to work cuz your wasted/bitching…whatever. I guess his four ex-wives were wrong?

    • tnadude says:

The negative feedback is because he was legitimately injured this time.

    • Leg Drop Jobber says:

The negatives are more like "why are you complaining? Get over it!" The guy is in his 60's and went full tilt with wrestling for about 40 years! You HAVE to expect him not being able to perform at this point in his life! Also, he wasn't MEDICALLY CLEARED TO WRESTLE. Really… what in the hell do you expect? Disobey doctors orders and really hurt himself, or maybe DIE in the ring?

It's funny, he's bashing Flair yet uses a picture of Scott Hall. Oh the hypocrisy runs deep on this one. This guy is dumb@ss #1 to be sure.
