Numerous Talents Return On This Week’s TNA iMPACT!

It was announced on Thursday’s episode of iMPACT! Wrestling that Sting will team up with Joseph Park to face Team 3D—TNA World Champion Bully Ray and TNA Television Champion Devon—on next week’s show. Days later at Slammiversary, Sting will challenge Ray for his title while Park will challenge Devon for his.

The program also saw the returns of three familiar wrestlers in Gunner, Shark Boy and Suicide.

Shark Boy resurfaced in an attempt to convince “Cowboy” James Storm to select him as his tag team partner for the World Tag Team Championship Match against Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez at Slammiversary (Robbie E also appeared to try to convince Storm). This was followed by the return of Gunner, who took out Shark Boy as well Robbie E. Storm then confronted Gunner and said he would “See him at Slammiversary.” He then shook his hand.

Earlier in the show, Suicide defeated Joey Ryan and Petey Williams to land a spot in Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary for the X Division Championship against titleholder Kenny King and Chris Sabin.

Following the event, Gunner remarked on his return to iMPACT! Wrestling—he had not appeared since October. The North Carolina native wrote on Twitter, “Great to finally return home to Impact tonite! @Cowboy_J_Storm and I see eye to eye! We want tag gold! See ya in Boston folks.”

  3. TwIsTeD_EnEmY says:

Such random re-surfacing from Gunner and Shark Boy

    • tna24 says:

i think shark boy was more random than gunner. since shark boy not even with tna anymore.

      • Dante_Cross says:

I think TNA's philosophy seems to be that if you're not signed to WWE and you've worked with them before, and you're good, chances are you'll be back at some point. At least that seems to be the case lately.

  4. Sir.Quala says:

G’day. Blokes. Who playing Suicide is Frankie or Christopher. Is the Sharkboy the same wrestles. Slammiversary should the Sharkboy. Vs Robbie E. I Love that miss goodytwoshose Nickie. James. Turn. HEALL I glade. GUNNER’S BACK I THOUGHT HE BEE WITH ACES AND EIGHTS. WHAT ABOUT AJSTYILS TURN ON ACE’S AND EIGHTIES. AND SOMA JOE BACK

  5. KGill28 says:

I'm so glad they didn't go with Shark Boy.

  6. MrTNA2015 says:

I loved the show tonight, was solid from front to back. loved the ending with A.j walking alone regarding TNA vs Aces's and 8s, loved how he faded into the smoke holding up P1!. way better then that crappy ending WWE put on Monday…..smh

  7. MrTNA2015 says:

shark boy was entertaining tho…Robbie just needs a more serious character, you dont need 3 jobbers…"Jessie,Joey Ryan,Robbie e" Robbie has championship pedigree and I think he can be just as big Dolph Ziggler in WWE ,he's just as athletic and quick in the ring he also has good mic skills just needs the right situation…maybe a love interest or may just simply a hot female manager to give him more appeal… ala Shawn Michael when he really was "The Heart Break Kid".Robbie has the look and its hard to find these days.

  8. soyfenomenal says:

Gunner is such a piss-poor choice. Not looking forward to him as a face.

  9. Ultimate_X says:

im actually loving seeing all these old faces! show feels just better with the likes of suicide, sabin and petey williams running about! loved seeing shark boy too but i doubt its permanent! now bring back generation me, with a new team name!!

  10. revrock20 says:

My prediction is that Gunner will turn on Cowboy with the help of a returning Crimson. Crimson & Gunner will be a tag team. Based on somethings they said on one of those One Night Only ppv's.

    • El_Chivo says:

this makes perfect sense Crimson lost hes undefeated streak against the Cowboy and they turn on him and both join Aces and Eights

  11. MRPC says:

Nothing wrong with a little roster rotation to keep things fresh.

  12. Mr. Excitement says:

I loved Gunner and happy to see him back.
But he's better as a heel.

He would suit Aces & Eights fine.

  13. destroyer_v39 says:

If I was TNA i would hire the WWE NXT releases and make them into big star in IMPACT. Derrick Bateman and Dolph Zigglers brother Briley Pierce looks like they have potential in wrestling.

  14. whatsup121 says:

I am glad the dark saviour Suicide is back

  15. HolsG says:

Glad we're getting the talents back. TNA has a good sized roster but we seem to see the same 10 wrestlers week after week.
Hopefully Suicide can help Petey and Sabin bring back the x division – the match was awesome
