ROH Releases A Christopher Daniels DVD Set

ROH released the following today…

In 2002, ROH was founded with several precepts in mind: sportsmanship, respect, and, of course, honor. These ideas were expressed in the Code of Honor and that code was embodied by a handshake that preceeded and followed each match.

Enter Christopher Daniels, the man who declared from day one that he would not follow such a code, that he rejected those ideals, and as a he built a Prophecy around him, worked to decimate what the code stood for. Whether he was facing Bryan Danielson & Low Ki in the first ever main event or Samoa Joe in a World Title Challenge, Daniels denied the handshake with ever fiber of his being. Yet with a forced absence and battles against the likes of Claudio Castagnoli and CM Punk, things changed…

This 18 match, 2-Disc collection showcases the transformation of one of ROH’s founding fathers from rebel to leader and the fights against foes like Matt Hardy & Alex Shelley that changed him. This is the saga of Christopher Daniels: The Fallen Angel…

    Definitely worth checking out.

  2. ToledoDavid says:

I may have to buy this…

  3. Treck says:

Awesome! Sad that he was never ROH world champion.

  4. TwIsTeD_EnEmY says:

ROH are trying pretty hard to make money off of current TNA and WWE talent lately

    • toddmikki says:

As well they should, I mean why not? They own the footage, helped big names get big? its still apart of the ROH legacy, just like sports teams producing images, videos and jerseys of retired athletes. (by the way ive never seen a minute of ROH)

      • tna24 says:

a retired person and a active wrestler are two different things. they have the right too do this, but it just their way to get something out of their former wrestler fame.

        • Peckar says:

WWE and TNA pinch all their good talent why the hell shouldn't they make money off of it. It's just a shame someone with money hadn't pushed them a long time ago. Who knows where they might have been had they been able to keep there talent.

        • Bigmike885 says:

So what are they supposed to do?..sit on the footage until Daniels retires (5..10 years from now?)..they might not even be around then..i dont blame them one bit..I'm sure TNA would do the same thing if they could…Lord knows WWE does…

          • tna24 says:

i doubt wwe does this. maybe they have for jeff , but that all i could think of

          • Bigmike885 says:

Considering they're currently working on a sting DVD and have done numerous wcw and ecw DVDs I'd say they've done it once or twice. They're working on a Goldberg DVD that only consists of one or two matches from his wwe runSent from my iPhone

  5. tna24 says:

on a side note if there anyone still mad over this. who care who we sign. thinking about it Daniels, kaz and AJ were all former wwe guys. who wwe didnt want and look at them now, they help built tna too where it is today. also look at Morgan too former wwe guy, now a beast of a tna guy. so for now on who care if there former wwe guys or not. we need to give everyone a shot. they might turn out to be something special one day

    • Dante_Cross says:

None of those guys were "WWE guys". Daniels worked on a Pay-Per-Show deal, and was nothing more than a jobber, which doesn't count. Otherwise that would mean every wrestler who has worked as a jobber in WWE/F is a WWE guy. Same with AJ, he only worked one match ever on a PPA deal.

Kaz had been in TNA already by the time of his WWE debut. Which would qualify him as a TNA guy going into WWE.

  6. annil8or4321 says:

roh is a good place to spot that future star they seem to get alot of talented guys

  7. TNArocks says:

If releasing DVD's of their former stars helps them survive I'm all for it. Hopefully one day WWE, TNA and ROH can emulate the success of WWF, NWA and AWA from the 80's (fingers crossed really hard)

  8. bik100 says:

Every match on this DVD is amazing.

  9. Justbringit says:

I can’t be the only one put off by clips & closing minutes of matches can I? They should just make this 3 discs so they can fit the whole matches on! An athlete like Daniels deserves that.

  10. Get_Carter says:

I'm glad they are giving Christopher Daniels this set, and the DVDs to show the full matches. You may love or hate his current TNA gimmick, but the man is a hell of a wrestler. A joy to watch.
