**SPOILER** Austin Aries & Bobby Roode’s Tag-Team

At this time, it appears as if Bobby Roode and Austin Aries’ run as a tag team in TNA is over for the time being. There are a few reasons for this.

The team has been booked in unrelated singles matches at TNA house shows for several weeks now, and they also lost at Slammiversary in the tag team title match.

In addition to that, both Roode and Aries are scheduled to begin competing in the upcoming Bound for Glory series.

So stupid. Glad they won the tag titles to lose them 2 months later to the same people.

I'm being thumbed-down for liking the team and not liking that their reign and pairing were short.
      IWC logic.
I assume you people just didn't like them together or something?

I liked them together and they were fun to watch, but ultimately they need to be focusing on the world title, IMO. They can still have an allegiance of sorts that can come into play, but it seems like the world title picture could open up a bit more, especially with the BFG series coming up.

Chavo and Hernandez are killing the tag division, need to bring back beer money, get Matt back and reform the Hardys and hey, maybe Hankinson can do Festus again, that was a great gimmick.. .

  3. NotCookz says:

The agreement was that Chavo and Hernandez wouldn't team up again, not Roode and Aries.

  4. HolsG says:

As much as i like the BFG series, didn't it end Magnus/Joe too – glad they seem to be reforming or at least have each others backs.

that sucks they were funny as hell and a pretty good tag team

  6. jbcissom says:

Ok, I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I have an interesting theory/hope. At the BFG series conclusion, it is between Roode and Aries. One of them (preferably Roode) hires the A&8 to interfere so he can win to go face Bully at BFG. AA, pissed off, goes after A&8, and gets beat down. Then after an intervention from Sting, AA joins the MEM.

    • Blood Runs Cold says:

They’re bringing back the Main Event Mafia?????? Hell Yeah!!!!!

On a more serious note, I called this about a few weeks ago. They are better in the world title picture and that part is seriously lacking due to Anderson being in A&8, AJ going solo, Sting not able to fight for the title again, Hardy constantly injured, ect. That division needs a serious face lift. A double and the It Factor are two of the top single wrestlers TNA has.

  7. Mr. Excitement says:

Good. As entertaining as they were as a team, they're better as single competitors.

  8. godoftna says:

Time for Roode, Aries, and AJ to take over the main event/world title picture.

  9. JoshuaTNA says:

They had potential to be just as good as or even better then Rated RKO (Remember Them). It's a shame TNA never capitalized on that.

  10. DarkmanDan76 says:

Good lord it's not always the wrestling stars fault when or "if they get moved in rank. Really tired of all the b.s. concerning how TNA books they're talent. Aries and Roode really should have NEVER been a team to begin with. BUT THEY themselves made it work because TNA management including the writing team had NO BACKUP plan.. And TNA management haD nO body else strong enough talent wise to go against them in their main-event scene as Singles competitors. Since they can't really book their BIGGER stars very well at all either way. Track record speaks for itself.

I love TNA very much just as much as most do but they have just as many problems and inconsistecy as all the other companies InCluding WWE.

Really seriously everyone forgets the long months of hype when Aries was the TNA champ and got screwed over because Hogan back-peddled on Jeff Hardy's inconsistency in rematches and Aries was the one carrying the company with his instant on-the-spot charisma while still maintaining a spot for others to move up like the X-div. stars. While still maintaining his own hype and rub'…

Or how about the FACT that Bobby Roode was the "longest reigning and defending TNA HW champion in their history" and was on a push to the moon. While deligated to be Dropped automaticly less than two months later because of no back-up Title plan in place or strong depth main eventers besides Sting or Bully Ray to go against as he wasn't being a Company man b.s" .

To Roode not being able to carry the torch" to the next level " when he and James Storm NEVR finished they're feud because it was cut-off and TNA management didn't recover and hype-effect fast enough at all. AS HOGAN always uses "torch to the next level" when covering his Ass while really giving no-one a chance to do something with it" by quickly taking it away regardlessof how things are "getting over" and pushes or no pushes is being booked…..And I don't hate Hogan but THEY ALL NEED To WAKE Up" too. He thinks he has his thumb on the problem when really it just makes it worser.

…………………….Oh and don't even get me started on AJ Styles' lack of "Startem'' hype (or even 7 years ago) and top prestiage when he should be as big of a mega-star and hyped as WELL as John Cena. Oh and that"s REAL THat's Damn REal!
