The Attendance For Last Night’s TNA iMPACT! In Chicago

The live TNA iMPACT! broadcast and TV taping for next week that took place in Chicago, IL last night estimated between 6,000 and 6,500 fans in attendance.

The company was VERY happy with those numbers.

    Better than the UK AGAIN!!
Hopefully this is the start of the best thing to happen to TNA to date.

  2. Peckar says:

Crowd popped big time for Aries against Sting of all people. Chicago rocks.

So far looking good. I know it's the Impact after Lockdown but still. Good showing!

  4. TheBringer92 says:

Impact was great. The energy was good. KO match was awesome.
Things are looking good for the future.

Good numbers. I hope it's profitable so TNA can stay on the road and out of the impact zone.

the next step i think for them is to stay on the road but live every week.

atm they are doing the live 1 week. taping for the next. live again taping for the next week.

gradually they are showing growth. but why panda energy dont spend a little to help them out. crazy.

They're following the path that RAW took, being live 1 week then taped from same location the following week. Seeing the large & enthusiastic crowds makes TNA look "legit" instead of seeing smaller reserved fans in the iMPACT Zone. I hope they do eventually go live every week. That also cuts down on the internet spoilers and makes the show more exciting.

As a side note to last nites show, did everyone notice Bully Ray mentioning the nWo? That surprised me since WWE owns their licensing. Also, the way the show ended with Hogan looking scared as the entire roster got beat down by the Aces & 8's got me thinking if there will some sort of new nWo being called in by Hogan. If the current roster can't beat them then someone else has to be brought in to stop them.

Wow it didnt look like that many people, i was there live, the nose bleed section had a few spots filled but for the most part was completely empty wit seats, there was sum open spots in the rest of the arena but overall was pretty packed, atmosphere was great though, i love my city chi town baby!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (ric flairs voice) was happy as shit to see sting not only appear, but work a great match over 20 min vs. Austin aries, a highlite of my life, got to see the icon work a great match. I reccomend tna live events if they hit your town go, i got cheap seats and was very close to the action, i couldnt believe it…. TNA TNA TNA TNA TNA

Congrats to TNA but so sadly I'm waiting for the BS Headlines that say "TNA gives away tickets to Impact" because it going to happen! But Congrats TNA!

    • JoeWrestling says:

Everyone gives away tickets, WWE, UFC (Dana White advertises on his Twitter he's dumping them), etc.. WWF used to give away tickets by the boatload, even during the "Attitude Era." They used to go to these large arenas and want it to look good so you give tickets. They want to brag about "sellouts" and it's hard to do if there are empty seats visible. WCW did it all the time. It's nothing unusual.
