The Latest On Rosita’s TNA Status – Released?

— A match for an upcoming episode of TNA Xplosion was taped following Thursday’s live iMPACT! Wrestling as TNA World Tag Team Champions Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez faced Joey Ryan and Matt Morgan.

— Following the departure of Sarita from TNA Wrestling this week after the organization elected not to renew her contract, Rosita may be gone as well.

According to sources, multiple TNA sources say the New York native is gone from the promotion. Another source says she has not been released. Unlike Sarita, her profile remains on the company website.

Rosita, whose real name is Thea Trinidad, has yet to confirm whether she has parted ways with TNA. Rather, she posted the following on Twitter after rumors of her departure surfaced online, “Wow.. The love and support I’ve received from you all is so heartwarming ❤ thank you! So grateful to have such passionate fans! #TEAMTMT.”

It's sad what has happened to the KO division.

  2. Dirk1n says:

With TNA doing a KO special, it's a strange time to be releasing KOs, they're down to 7 on the main roster

I remember when the locker room used to be packed with knockouts they need to sign more women and X division stars

actually tna does have x division stars they either dont use them or they move on like AJ and aries. when young back he could be in the x divison plus they have 2 others injury as well and a few they sign in gut check they could maybe use. so it not a matter having people they just dont use them

  4. tna24 says:

so to think about it, for the x division look at the roster, they have AJ, aries, yes RDV , he a little older but chavo, king, maybe gunner, maybe ryan, maybe bischoff, kash, ion and injury guys Sabin,Sorensen and young. right there give you 13 X division guys with maybe a few more you can maybe use for X division

Part of the problem is that nobody really "knows" what an X-Division match is, or "when" it occurs. I know that sounds completely idiotic, but bear with me for a minute.

A match between RVD & Chavo could easily be a normal match for the TV title (or even a heavyweight contenders match). It could also be a high-flying match for the X-Division title. Kid Kash is another guy that an wrestle either way on any given night.

The only way we really know whether it's an X-Division match is when Christy Hemme tells us. And that's pretty silly. Everyone seems to want to put Joey Ryan in the X-Division, but he's not really a high-flyer (certainly not like Ion anyway). Why? Because he's small and they associate size with X-Division. Seriously – Hernandez can move as well as Joey Ryan, but would never be labeled an X-Division guy because of his size.

What TNA really needs to do is to change the rules slightly for the X-Division to benefit the high-flyers. Make them no-submission matches, and maybe even falls count everywhere. That would encourage guys to take it to the floor and use higher-risk moves. The occasional Ultimate X match wouldn't hurt either.

It would also make it more interesting when an X-Division match comes up, because right now you either can't tell the difference, or the wrestler is unfairly labeled an "X-Division" guy (like Kid Kash), would explain style differences between matches, and it would give a guy like Hernandez the opportunity to showcase his talents.
