The Reason Bully Ray Apologized Twice Revealed

The Reason Bully Ray Apologized Twice Revealed

The reason that Bully Ray had to apologize again on Twitter yesterday for calling a fan a homophobic slur last week was that someone in the wrestling media contacted Viacom asking if they tolerate people on their network using that kind of language.

Both Bully and Dixie Carter apologized the first time and Carter said that language won’t be allowed in TNA.

    For gods sake, seriously???
Wrestlers offend people on a weekly basis with the use of badly chosen words, it's part of being a heel!!!!!

It's a part of life… These people who do stuff like that need to get over it, by simply feeding into it you're making it worse… Complaining to a company or government about that stuff only makes it more of an issue, simply get over it and move on…

Anyone who's taken a psych class can tell you, it's literally impossible to market something to the entire US without offending someone over something. Sad thing is that this offensive stuff draws… Like it or not it does and history has proven it.

wwe even offends when someone dies, this is stupid

    • rawuncutnxrated says:

Why even bring up the WWE? Quit deflecting. They have nothing to do with anything TNA does, so don't bring them into the argument. Either you agree with apologizing or you don't.

      • tnadude says:

Actually, it's a fair assessment. Someone from the "wrestling media" called Viacom and complained. If they are from the "wrestling media", then they are aware of what WWE does. If they weren't offended by what the WWE did, this shouldn't offend them either, so what's the point? Both are wrestling shows, and both are on major networks.

That said, there is a tendency to deflect things on this site towards WWE. And I agree that practice is wrong. But in this case, given the alleged source of the complaint, I do think it's fair.

Bully is a fag for apologizing!……just kidding

who would call viacom to complain? what a move.

Taking it in the pooper comes with consequences.
Silly fa.ggots, dic.ks are for chicks

    • Philly_Cheese says:

It was more or likely someone who runs one of those infamous Gay & Lesbian alliances, who complain about that stuff at every twist and turn…

  8. Kyle says:

Just watch Louie C.K’s joke on calling people a fag.

  9. Rated_Maxx says:

Had to be a WWE mark that called in. Haters mad cuz TNA is doing good.

    • jbcissom says:

That or some soft-skinned, yellow-bellied, politically correct scumball that needs to grow a set of testicles (if a man) or ovaries (if a woman). That, and they probably need to get laid, period.

    • Whatever says:

Tna is doing good. What r they doing good at. Their ratings aren’t doing any better, there attendance aint doing better. Ur just a mark ass tna fan boy slap nut that’s now scared that ur crap ass wrestling promotion might be in trouble with Viacom. Hopefully they decide the right thing to do.

  10. The Nard Dog says:

BUT, IT WASN'T ON TV,, Oh!!

  11. Firestormdzl says:

A Face wrestlers can't say those stuff but Bully is not a face wrestler. He's a heel wrestler. I guess some people needs a dictionary to know the different between Heel Wrestlers and Face Wrestlers

  12. TwIsTeD_EnEmY says:

What kind of douche would contact viacom saying that they had said that?
    It wasn't even on tv…

  13. andy3323 says:

homophobe, I really hate that term……phobia means you're afraid of something, how about you just think it's sick? Doesn't mean you have a freakin' phobia. __There's that and………oh! He's A HEEL PEOPLE! Get over it, why has the world gotten so dang soft and emotional…

    • thetruth says:

But you are afraid. You are afraid that a gay man might want to have sex with you. You are even more afraid that you might enjoy it. Or are you just afraid that no gay man would ever want to touch you? Whichever it is, you are afraid and it is a phobia.

      • phil says:

Well truth thanks for proving not all wrestling fans are morons. I think Bully should be a dick, because hes a heel, hes trying to get heat so that someday he will get his from someone who stands against intolerance and greed and hate. Im sick as well for these ridiculous tattling punks need to fight there fight in the proper forum. This is out of context as the man is a performer doing a bad guy shtick, write your congressman or join a protest march or public rally and quit playing politics like a facist, dictating whos naughty or nice for the rest of us. He didnt infringe on anyones civil liberties or harm anyone physically. Chaulk it up to him being a dick in character or otherwise you like. Gay rights like the civil rights and womens rights movements before it needs support without taking anything away from the rights of others. The oppressions of mankind are a shared struggle to peace and understanding, pro wrestling is a goofy fun athletic circus of satire and hijinx to enjoy AS IS.

apologize? sure if it gets them to shut up
