The Reason For Jesse Sorensen’s TNA Release

Jesse Sorensen’s release was purely a cost-cutting measure as he had been earning well above what anyone else was in his position as a production assistant in order to help him recover.

Any excuse will do. How about cutting STING or Brooke HOGAN

    • soyfenomenal says:

      Cut Sting? No. Just no.
Cut Brooke Hogan? Yes. Completely unnecessary and overpaid.
Cut Hulk Hogan? No, simply reduce his per-appearance pay.
They SHOULD cut Chavo, Devon, Garett, King Mo, Godderz, Rockstar Spud, Wes Brisco, and Taz.
But they should ADD Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt, Homicide, Rubix, Greg what's-his-name, DOC, Taeler Hendrix, Awesome Kong, Tara, Alyssa Flash…pretty much a lot of past knockouts and people who have been seen recently/sparingly on TV.

      • Tiffanydude says:

I Agreed with you until the second half, Devon, Chavito and Spud still have some uses. Petey, Sonjay are already signed just not used. And I agree with you with hiring back the past wrestler ideally but I don't think they can afford them sadly.

i agree on sting, i agree on brooke hogan and with hulk hogan i do agree as its simply if he isnt in the GM role who is? bischoff or jarrett? and within 1 year its the other. but after that their kinda stuck.

but with king mo he doesnt get paid unless he appears on the show i do believe. id keep chavo, and devon. experienced wrestlers. rockstar spud is in OVW not on the main roster. good wrestler. not been able to show how good he is imo. i agree on garrett and brisco. but godderz according to doug williams has improved a lot. however he is a comical heel guy atm. with taz. similar situation as hulk hogan. he gives them options on commentary. id say todd keneley was a welcomed addition to commentary and think pat kenney would be too.

petey williams is a fully contracted tna talent. sonjay dutt is an independent due to his 6 weeks injury. companies dont want to sign him full time in case he does his shoulder and is out 6 weeks and is therefore a mistake signing. great worker imo. homicide i believe isnt interested in signing for tna long term. rubix is signed to chikara. tna will have to wait for his contract to run out. trent baretta (greg marasciulo) would be a good addition. DOC well liked by bischoff but the writers have enough on their plate as it is. the problems with knockouts is per week they get 1 knockout seg/match per week. if your assigning them more time whos getting their time cut aj styles? hardy? aries? roode? so due to that you have the knockouts champ that has to be on tv regularly and then usually 1 opponent of imo 12 would be a good division for them. only more tv time can keep them so they get to work matches/stories but then when story A ends. story B becomes more important.

        • jflegler says:

Honestly, I am okay with there being no GM role on TNA; however, if Hogan is not GM what do they do with him? This is a classical catch 22. He brings an attraction, but he has no business on Impact TV unless he is in said role.

        • jflegler says:

TNA does not need an on air GM. However, if you want to play the GM game, they will not be stuck with Bischoff, Sting, or Jarrett.

Groom current roster members with charisma for a potential GM role – if you must have one.

          – Christopher Daniels (for obvious reasons)
          – Joseph Parks, Esq, GM (would work if you keep him green and ignorant to wrestling's intricacies)
          – Eric Young & ODB (may be entertaining to see them share an office)

      • Laker says:

No on Chavo, Godderz, or Taz

Yes on Petey, Sonjay, Rubix, Homicide, Greg, Kong, Tara, and the smokin hot Alyssia Flash

      • jflegler says:

I know that I will get a ton of thumbs down for this, but I am not a fan of Homicide. I would rather have a properly utilized Briscoe. I am also biased towards keeping Spud and Mr. Pectacular.

      • jflegler says:

I wanted them to sign Rubix ever since first seeing him as Jigsaw and subsequently as one of the thugs in Aces and Eights.

    • oh0K says:

how about they paid for his surgery and pay him to constantly sya he isnt ready to come back? that >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. cutting an active worker

  2. Mr. Excitement says:

    Overpaid for his position?
Not the only one in TNA.

  3. MikeS23 says:

Get rid of the Hogans and Bischoff. I used to think Dixie had TNA's best interest in mind, but she doesn't.

    • toddmikki says:

I, and thousands and thousands of others wouldn’t be watching TNA right now if it wasnt for Hogan! I didnt know tna was still in existence if Hogan would never have signed, now i NEVER miss a week!

      • JoeWrestling says:

Yes, we all can see Hogan is valuable for the Spike deal, and the Spike deal is the ONLY thing that matters in the company.

    • pepsilover2008 says:

I don't think it is that dixie doesn't have tna best interest on her mind, i think it's a matter that she is smart enough to know she doesn't know how to run a wrestling company from a wrestling perspective so she keeps the likes of bischoff and hogan based on their experience in the biz

      • ariesstormjoe says:

that may be very true but dont see who else they can really hire in backstage roles for their opinion other than who they have.

to think pritchard was fired/or he left (sounds like he left according to EB). now they have gaburick. if say in 2 years time its decided gaburick isnt doing a good job or he moves on for personal reasons or whatever. i think its fair to say not many fans can give a list of 10 names to replace him. and thats cos the names to have in backstage roles in wrestling they arent that well known.

furthermore the GM role some ppl would say "hire anybody, have anybody do it" but a "name" is required. tna only have so much leg room with certain ppl they can hire. dont think tna would get away with if they had say amazing red as the gm for example.

      • OldManEaston says:

I know right? She is the president of the company. The company apparently kept afloat with her families money. Of course she has the best interest of the company in mind. I don't think Dixie's sincerity and passion is in question,. She just doesn't know what the hell she is doing and has no idea who is good for building an uniquely competitive product and who is not, so she goes for the obvious big names and what she thinks are the safe bets.

If she was a flake, she could have easily given up by now and threw in the towel, and it would be no skin off her nose. She's a millionaire and her family is worth billions. She would never have to work another day in her life, and let's be honest, when you are that rich and that connected, opportunities are around every corner. She could land on her feet in no time and find something else to occupy her time, but she likes being a wrestling promoter, so she is apparently in it for the long haul.

    • Laker says:

Lower Hogan’s pay check, get rid of Brooke, and keep Eric Bishoff… Oh yeah get rid of his son.

  4. RavenNevermore says:

Bischoff is only in charge with production. I think its better and Hogan has to answer to a few people. So get off the I hate Hulk Hogan bandwagon. This from me who hated Hogan for years.

    • Get_Carter says:

I am glad that Bischoff is in a backstage only role. I think the job Bischoff and Harvey do is pretty good – better production values than a few years ago.I think both high profile kids need to go – both Brooke Hogan and Garrett Bischoff. Both are only in TNA because of their Dads.

  5. 02Roadking says:

Devon is a proven veteran who benefits the company with his experience and willingness to work hard. I think Briscoe/Garrett could make it as a heel tag team. Chavo, Godderz, Brooke, and a couple of others that don't make a hill of beans difference in the show should go.

    • OldManEaston says:

Garrett Bischoff is hopeless. He's simply not very talented, and that is a major problem because there is nothing unique that stands out about him or the way he wrestles at all. He's not big, scary, freaky, funny looking, handsome enough to attract the ladies or even particularly ugly enough to make babies cry and he doesn't even have enough presence to capitalize on the fact that his father is one of the most hated men by fans in the history of the wrestling business. He's just there and not even sound enough to be job guy that can make other people look good. He and Wes Brisco are WCW New Bloood 2.0 and even Positively Paige can't spin that as a good thing.

      • JoeWrestling says:

Garrett Bischoff is Erics son and they aren't getting rid of him. If they didn't have him, they would just be paying another jobber. It doesn't matter. Never a complaint that WWE is full of peoples worthless sons, who get checks for years and never make TV even. Garrett is actually pretty good, in that he gets a lot of heat and the crowd pops when he is getting an especially good beating.

      • jflegler says:

LOL! Your last sentence cracked me up.

I agree with your post. I am shocked as to why Garrett doesn't channel his father more, bring the heat, and capitalize on his genetics. I imagine that if he could, he would.

  6. mfg420 says:
