    did steiner get his wish?

  2. tna24 says:

are we always going to make an excuse why tna doesnt do well? umm how many people are there in the world. stop making fing excuse. just face it tna in a slump and will take alot to do better. also what the heck did Anderson get cubby?

    • Triple f says:

TuNA24, WRONG! TNA is not in a slump! WRESTLING is in a slump! A show I’ve never heard of (Swamp People?) drew an audience just barely below that of Raw. There’s your slump!

      • purpmuffins says:

I dont know why ppl are thumbing you down there's some truth to that statement. Wrestling has been a slump. And I don't why ppl hate on TNA or wwe. I want both to succeed because I like wrestling.

  3. RyanWilliam41 says:

steiner has a whole 20,000 twitter followers.. dont think many ppl care about that steroid has been..

    • mattcasdorph says:

Not to mention that the only way it would effect the rating is if the people he told had Nielsen box's, which makes it even more unlikely that what he said had any effect on the rating, so you take 35,962 Twitter Followers (not 20,000) and I'm willing to say that a good percentage of Steiner's followers dont have Nielsen box's, and even if all of his follower did and they did listen, 35,000 viewers is not going to effect the rating much at all.

Wow they’re competition was swamp people? Ahaha well so was spongebob squarepants, the weather channel, CNN, the news, the real housewives of Atlanta…..there’s no excuse…the show sucks …PERiOD! I will admit, Robert Roode is the man though..loved the promo…..

  5. JeffandJoker says:

    Hello Everyone,

I really find it funny that Eric Bischoff was slamming the UFC for getting low ratings, and Impact didn't even get a full 1.0 rating this week. I hope that Dana White tweets about TNA's ratings, and how they have been going down since Eric Bischoff took over. I think it would only be fair after the comments Bischoff made the other day about the UFC's ratings.

No one can disagree with numbers, and since firing Vince Russo the ratings and viewers have been down!!! I think it speaks to how the fans really feel about Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. True wrestling fans don't want to see them anymore. That is why the ratings are down. Impact had NO competition this week. So their is no reason why the ratings should be this low !!!!!

I don't think Scott Steiner had much to do with the low ratings, BUT I am sure he is very happy with seeing how low the ratings are. I think things are only going to get worse for TNA if they don't make the changes that need to be made.

    Thanks !

    • SageStinger says:

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. I am a TRUE wrestling fan and I am enjoying TNA much better with Hogan/Bischoff. And I was liking it when Russo was still there as well. For the most part, I don't care for Russo's writing, never have. But where the ratings are concerned, I don't think it has ANYTHING to do with either of them. TNA needs more promotion. Promotion from Spike, Dixie, and Hulk. I also believe that they need to go on the road more. Maybe have a live show here and there. Also, I think the production of the show VASTLY improved as soon as Bischoff came in. Also, the crowd at the impact zone this week was the best i've seen in quite some time. So that's telling you that the fans are (for the most part) enjoying what TNA is doing right now. I know I am.

      • JeffandJoker says:

        Hello Sage,

I'm sorry but I think your wrong. The writing for Impact has been pretty bad, and sorta not surprising. It has an 80's or 90's feel to it.

Like the wedding with ODB and EY. That just feels old to me. Like its been done so many times before. Sorta like they are just trying to fill time.

And the crowd at Impact this week. . . . I loved when they were chanting YES, YES, YES, YES. I am sure you know that is the Daniel Bryan chant. So, on a taped show they had to allow a WWE wrestlers chant. That isn't very good editing.

  6. tna24 says:

you know we cant blame hulk and eric and want them to leave. that wont do much. what was tna before them. nothing that big at all. if it wasnt for jeff tna wouldnt of last this long. dixie doesnt know what she doing. what tna needs is a big change as a whole not just its colors. there more to this then just letting vice hulk and eric go. you guys really want dixie running things what does she know?

  7. milleniumcowboy says:

TNA should take a big turn up in their ratings it just will never happen. WWE has the ratings because most people today are so immoral that is why WWE is trash and therefore appeals to trash. TNA is no WCW, the very thing that caused WCW to fail is in their last few years they tried to beat the WWE at it's own game (pure trash)!! This is the same reason TNA doesn't go anywhere it just limps around and goes nowhere. The NWA was moral and WCW was its 1st 5 or so years but the almighty dollar was at play. Nobody can beat Mcmahon at trash and that is what he invented but trash sells especially to ??? TNA could swap rosters with the WWE and the same ratings would happen. Wrestling needs to be booked not written on a wrestling show, it needs to be family oriented, moral, but that might not even do it today as Everything has went so far south. Dixie Carter is a moral person I believe she just hires immoral people to run her company like Hogan, Bischoff, Russo, Mantell and so on. Sting could bring them from lethargy I think if they gave it all to him "really" & not for show. It needs to be live nobody will watch matches that they read about 2 weeks ago in the spoilers section. The future is not with Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan,Mick Foley etc. – TNA could come on thursday and have Batista, Lesnar, Stonecold, and The Rock on it and sure more people would turn on the show and watch it but after a few weeks when the new wears off, the rating would go back down because TNA would have them too limping in circles!!! I love TNA don't get me wrong and hate the WWE. I would love to see TNA get good ratings, it is just not gonna happen – Douglas Williams was awesome in the ring as is Daniels but where is Williams And they have crutched Daniels by having him try to be a heel with BS finishes. TNA has too many crutches –
    1 – on SpikeTV
    2 – Taped
    3 – with "old-old" wrestlers
4 – with their horrible decisions
5 – with their horrible writing
6 – with Eric Young, Robbie E or Rob Terry or stupid stuff like curry man or Cato
7 – Morgan, Joe, Daniels, Styles, Roode, should be their franchise players – Bischoff/Hulk are holding them all down ala wcw – You know WCW once had Stonecold, Edge, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kane, Morrison, but held them down and they left.
8 – They need to be different and brave as you have to take a chance, You have to spend money to make money and so on. A PPV 4 times a year instead of once a month.
9 – Innovative and creative not dormant, I like to see new blood come in but if you don't know what to do with them what is the point. Make Anderson a part of the Anderson family bill him Ole's nephew give them some tradition,
10 – Have a tag PPV like the crockett cup – bring in teams from everywhere for a one time thing; old – young – whatever like; LOD 2000, R & R express, The Dudleys, Goldberg/EZ Money, Beer/Money, Styles/Daniels, Morgan/Crimson, Hardys, Harlem Heat, Dreamer/Funk Gene's son Brian/Ken Anderon a minnesota wrecking crew 2, Doom, Powers/Pain, Steiners, Outlaws, X-Pac/Nash, Sabu/RVD, Nick Densmore/Abyss, Bulldog Hart/Joe, Windam/Rotunda, Nikita/Sting, Midnight express, Lesnar/Batista, Angle/Aries, Saturn/Raven, Lashley/Kid Cash, Jarrett/Flair, have like 30 teams and a 4 hour ppv there is also a lot of new blood out there that can wrestle like steamboat jr., Reid Flair, Dillon Eaton (Bobby's Son),

    • Dude, what the hell are you talking about! Wwe not moral? Needs to be family orientated? WWE is freakin pg! Drop down one more rating and we’ll be seeing raw on Nickelodeon.

Besides its kind of hard to be moral on a wrestling show. People wanting to beat the crap out of eachother. Fighting in steal cages. Are you looking for a Christian wrestling show or something. Sorry but you sound stupid bro.

    • dharmanavy says:

Wait? Did you just say John Morrison was in WCW?…What program were you watching? Learn your Industry History and keep your "Morals" to your self. Nobody likes being preached to on how to "Live" their life according to someone else's standards. We are all grown Men and Women who have the ability to decide whats right and wrong for ourselves. I have my own set of Beliefs and Morals but it's never been and never will be my place to tell YOU how to live your life.

"Have a tag PPV like the crockett cup"…Really? That's a fine idea but look at the names you included. Once again I say, learn about the Industry and it's History. Pay attention to detail and study up before you write. When you don't it shows and makes everyone just skip over what you have to say. And who knows, you may have something witty, insightful or just plane smart to share. Because you did say one thing that was true and to the point…"You have to spend money to make money"…

    • Pipboy86 says:

If you think TNA was a "moral" company during its first five years, I have 5 words for you. Puppet the Dwarf Trashcan, S.E.X. Look em up. Or you could probably just search Russoriffic TNA and get similar results.

  8. DJBIGCG says:

a .99 rating for tna isn't good at all. Especially with there ppv lockdown coming up on sunday.

  9. El_Chivo says:

IMPACT has no competitors we watch it every week and dont watch the other shows on at the same time and never leave some are leaving because they dont want to see talking the whole time i miss the 1 hour impact where it was just wrestling does anyone remember the 1 hour 3way of Rhino, Cage, and Joe that was the whole impact if your not getting new people give your Loyal fans what we want WRESTLING and advertise many old wrestling fans and new one dont know what TNA is. on House Shows i bought tickets because i checked the TNA website but if i didnt i wouldnt of known they were coming they have no commercials about it so advertise your product.

  10. This is no big deal guys. Its up then down up then down. We should start making noise if hits an all time low and stays there. For now it is what it is.

    • JeffandJoker says:

      Hey Buddy,

You and I see eye to eye alot, So I am sorta surprised at your post.

I am not sure if the rating is something to worry about right now, but I do think it is something that should be talked about.

What TNA should be worried about is, Matt Morgan is talking about leaving this year to go back to the WWE. It is a sure thing that Ric Flair is going to leave around the same time to go back also. Terry Taylor left just a few weeks back to go back to the WWE. Scott Steiner walked out of the company and is now on a anti TNA war.

All of this should be a problem for TNA.

      • I get where your coming from. I think I’m just getting so jaded with tna ratings. And the same old; tna needs to advertise more, tna needs to go on the road, fire hogan and bischoff.

I’m not knocking people who say these things cause its true. But it gets repetitive and you start to grow weary.

But yeah, with all the people leaving tna and wwe signing roh talent they should be concerned. Let’s see if the “big changes” dixie promised helps them.

      • Triple f says:

J&J, Matt Morgan is “talking” about going to the WWE. Doesn’t mean they’re gonna take him. I didn’t be doing the same kind of talking if I were a forgotten entity. Flair, on the other hand, just royally sucks at everything he’s involved with! Neither would be missed in the least. In Taylors case, he didn’t quit, he was let go. I hope he get’s a WWE job, they owe him big time. They killed his wrestling career.
