  2. Kyle says:

It really wasn’t Destination X is the problem.

  3. Luis says:

I don’t think it was the casual fans that tuned in to watch. more like WWE paranoids who was scared TNA was gonna do something Good but hey now you know what the X Division is all about

  4. MonkeyPunk23 says:

Good show…let's hope it gets better following all the recent developments.

  5. whatever says:

Now if next week they drop back down to 1.0 or lower then this rating will be for nothing and all that hard work will go right down the drain. Besides this was only cause of free ppv style tv. So ill pass judgement now and also next week.

  6. jflegler says:

Yep. Predicted a 1.2 – I just hope that a few more viewers latched on for future episodes.

  7. hangers says:

Wow, thats a surprise, those 'acrobats' jumping around the ring out-rated the lumbering old fat ass heavyweights… Perhaps something will finally sink in with regards to what rates and what doesnt..

    • tnadude says:

Two of the X-Division matches were great. The third would have been great on any other night, but left a bit to be desired given the other two.

Still though, Roode & Aries stole the night. And that was a heavyweight-style match, regardless of Aries size. Of course, that match had Aries in it, and IMO, he's the best performer in the business today. Sorry AJ & Angle – you've been surpassed…

  8. Peckar says:

So. After all the time since the Hogan and Bischoff era, TNA are back where they started in ratings. Let me be the first to say it. Sabin was not a good idea for a world champion. Congratulations all the same. MCM's is one of the best tag teams ever. But world champion? Sorry, but I don't buyy this as a step forward, more like two back. He is a great wrestler, but doesn't have the goods to hold a company on his back. WWE are very careful who they give the WWE title to, why would you give it to Sabin after Bully had such a good long reign is beyond me. No pay off story, just Sabin going on about his injured leg and his comeback from two surgeries. TNA at one stage had all the KO's division as champions, are the men going to be the same? Devaluing the belts in this way is stupid. No direction. Time will tell to prove me wrong.

      — — – — – – – C=====3 goldberg cumming

    • Luis says:

Lol if Toothpick Hardy was a World Champ then Sabin definitely deserves it

    • ricky_No1 says:

Oh no your not wrong. You talk a great deal of truth. He just aint fit to carry the belt. Ratings jump is down to the X div pure and simple.

    • hangers says:

I wanted the strap off Bubba and if it has to go to Sabin, so be it. He will only be a transitional champ, will be very surprised to see him hold it much longer than a month… The value at the moment lies with Aries, Roode, Daniels, Kaz and Hardy thrown in for good measure, you could build a years worth of programming with these guys as the nucleous…

      • Bigmike885 says:

that's the problem..there should be no "transitional" world champions if they have a list of people who could have won it and made it a big deal…

    • tnadude says:

Why on earth did you get thumbed down for that?

The only thing I'd add is that Hogan & Bischoff have done something the previous regime hasn't been able to do – get younger and establish legitimate stars. No longer are Angle, Sting & Dos JJs passing the belt around. We now have Roode, Aries, & Bully as three of the past four champions (Hardy the fourth has a lot left in the tank himself). You could add Storm, but it would be a joke to give them credit when they dropped that ball off the side of a cliff.

Still though, they've got Magnus primed for a massive run in a year or so. They've also got a great storyline that should rejuvenate AJ's career. BTW – I don't blame them for AJ. I blame AJ for not going heel as they wanted him too. He needed a change and refused it until now so that's on him.

So the ratings may not be up, but the company is still better off.

      Now to fix the ratings!

      • jbcissom says:

I don't blame AJ for not going heel. There are some characters that work as only heels, and some that only work as faces. Once a character reaches a certain level, there is no turning back. Bully Ray is not a face, but he's entertaining as hell. Sting and SCSA are not heels, they are too well liked by the fans… same goes for the Rock and Undertaker. Paul Heyman will always be a heel, because simply, based on reports, he's an overall douchebag (even his guys… RVD and Bully have admitted to this).

In TNA, AJ can not be a heel. Everytime TNA has tried it, it just hasn't worked for whatever reason. They unsuccessfully tried to do the same with Sting a couple of times as well. TNA needs to realize, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    • jbcissom says:

I agree with you to a point, but I had the same feeling towards AA, so that's why I'm willing to let this play out.

One thing for sure that TNA needs to do… take the "heavyweight" out of that title. Just name the title, the TNA World Champion. That's my huge, glaring problem with this whole situation. Sabin doesn't even look like he weighs 200 lbs.

  9. monsters are real says:

I watch both wwe and tna and tna and wwe fan boys are so pathetic this is not about beating one another if ur a tna fan only thing they care anout is lining their pockets with your money and its the same for the wwe, calling people paranoid about ratings is retarded

  10. TheMiwyun says:

    goldberg came everhwere goldberg

  11. Worst in the world says:

Woodpeckar, Then why wwe gave world title to daniel bryan so early ? Before giving it to multi year performers

  12. tna caput mundi says:

I am noone (not aj) but i mean my formula is : MORE LIVE SHOWS(surprise in wrestling is fundamental)
LESS TOUR(cost cutting) a NOISY PLACE may be 1place for 3 months (partecipation =much energy for westlers anD better show at home) MUCH MORE X DIVISION(wcw ecw pushed the high flying action but for tna was the main point and now on with much more spotlight than the past it catches casual viewers ) MORE STONG STYLE LIKE JAPANESE HEAVY CHOPS AND KICKS( it will catches UFC fans)

X division catches wrestling fans and casual viewers.
X division and strong style wrestling like japanese style is the it factor to make TNA number one in mainstream.

TNA's got a great opportunity to catch what pro wrestling until now was missing.
High flying action it's the "hardcore thing " of this nu era.Hardcore was the it factor of the 90's and high flying was never the main point ,certainly it was special in wcw and ecw but it was never like in TNA.

  13. JoshuaTNA says:

Hopefully TNA won some fans back with this show.

  14. Nova_numb says:

Sabin may not be the idea for a long term Champion, but it was that feel good moment that sent the fans home happy. He will carry the title for a month, pass it back to Bubba who will hold it until BFG when I suspect they will be putting it on Aries or Magnus for the next run. They are high on Magnus and think he is the next big star there…I think he needs some polish on the microphone, but either way I look for them to move in that direction…Unless they plan on keeping the title on Sabin for a run to BFG and then have him passing the title off to AJ Styles..Bubba vs. Hogan as their big highlight match with the fate of Brooke in the balance…I noticed Hogan looked to be walking a lot better the other night than I have seen him walking in probably a year…I don't really care to see him in the ring again…But if they make it a street fight environment I think he would be fine.

    plus one
