TNA Announces New Partnership With WWL Promotion

Hector Guerrero announced during the Spanish language version of iMPACT! Wrestling that TNA has partnered with Puerto Rico’s new World Wrestling League promotion. TNA will be sending talent to the WWL shows beginning with the promotion’s April 21st debut event in San Juan.

Set for the show are Samoa Joe, James Storm, Abyss, Bobby Roode and Christopher Daniels. The show is headlined by Texano Jr. vs. Ricky Bandera for the AAA Mega-Championship, which is the first time the title will be defended outside Mexico.

I think the point of this (and the AAA thing) is to bring some exposure to TNA by sending stars to their promotions in their countries. If you noticed while TNA talent was in Mexico with AAA, a month or two later TNA started airing on TV in Mexico.

WOW for those that don't know this new promotion is ran by Hugo the ex WWE spanish commentator and before anyone starts about talent exchange right now the promotion is built by other promotions and their wrestlers right now
