    x

    • lethalgunstyles says:

x is the reason for the rating, everyone used to say the x division kills ratings. its not true

      • godoftna says:

Exactly. X division built TNA, a solid X division sells, the X division draws ratings. Take note TNA.

      • tnadude says:

        Gotta disagree.

X isn't the reason for the rating – DESTINATION X is the reason for the rating.

TNA gave away a PPV (at least in the eyes of the viewership) so people expected something bigger than normal. I'd love to sit here and say they'll maintain the rating, but I don't think it's true.

'Twas a great show nonetheless (except the main event which almost put me to sleep). Still though, a WHC change is a great payoff for the extra fans that tuned in. While disappointing to some, the hammer shot leaves many questions that could add to intrigue over the next couple of weeks (is Sabin turning heel? Will Bully get an immediate return match?).

It's just like people and the cruiser-weight was for WCW, people who were on the inside of WCW said on most occasions the cruiser-weight matches typically drew more than anything else.

It was a great show. But I think it has more to do with the fact it was a free PPV on Spike TV.
Hopefully this gets them to focus more on the X Division and free PPV's on Spike.

Looks like tna is going to pull a high rating

While I don’t agree with a lot of what they do.. for example renting such large arenas. I agree with some of the releases.. TNA has one show they don’t need such a huge roster right now. I think they need to focus on the talent they have and not the talent they can get. I loved the old days when we saw 90% of the roster on each episode of impact. They have tremendous talent that we see sporadically ala petey williams that it is sad. I love TNA been hooked since the weekly ppvs. The company can be great as long as they let the talent they have make the spotlight brighter. The match last night with williams homicide and dutt was amazing and letting sabin and bully have 30 mins off the chart hope to see more shows like this

    • Philly_Cheese says:

The problem is, a lot of the people being featured on TV don't have any talent, yet cash a paycheck. While others with tremendous potential are overlooked. We're talking about a company that has Hogan and his daughter working for them, while one can't finish a sentence without the word brother, his daughter is at least pleasant to look at, although has zero talent. Some of the releases I can agree with whole heartedly, while others I could not.

This is awesome. Looks like wrestling fans are starting to learn that TNA is great!

    • ricky_No1 says:

The wrestling fans know that x div is awesome but im willing to wager the idiots booking shows are too stupid to see that. Be back to pushing heavy weight and forgeting X again before you know it.

  6. POWER TO THE PEOPLE says:

their best match was Rood vs Aries, Sunjay’s finish was sick, and it is great to see Sabin as TNA champion

  7. jbcissom says:

Has anyone noticed that it seems to always be that when there is reports of the morale being extremely low in TNA, they seem to produce some really good episodes of Impact! and the viewership is there to back it up?

Could it be a dirtsheet thing?

    • tna4life says:

Agreed the dirtsheet has alot to do with it, im sure morale is down in the WWE as well but again it seems like the dirt sheets are bias, but thats just my opinion. No ones knows whats going on in Tna but Tna. SO if the dirtsheets and the haters dont know whats going on just need to shut up.

    • TheFurnitureom says:

yes, the dirtsheet's wanted story 3 from stories 1 (releases) 2 (pay system issue). The articles which get the most clicks are the ones which portray TNA as failing – why, because dirtsheets know that WWE fans outnumber TNA fans (30 years headstart) and they get the giggles when they see it. More clicks = more advertising revenue, and better rankings in Google.

ps the show was fantastic, it is a crying shame that an average RAW can get 3.0, whilst TNA have to work insanely hard for their ratings – but well done TNA!

Ultimately I'm not a shareholder and ratings don't mean much to me personally, so as long as TNA gets enough viewers to stay on TV for the next 10 years, I'll sleep easy.

      • Philly_Cheese says:

It's partly to due with Spike though also… When RAW was on Spike TV all those years back, their average rating rarely broke 2's. There was a reason why WWE dropped them after their contract with them expired.

  8. mrthefanboy says:

Good to hear they deserved it,but they deserve so much more.

  9. whatsup121 says:

Way to go TNA keep up the good work

  10. nicholal79 says:

If TNA and Spike can keep promoting Impact like they did the Destination X Special Impact! That is how you promote Impact! The ball is in their hand to promote Impact properly!

  11. The Debut of Hulk Hogan Micro Championship wrestling almost drew 1 million viewers. thats right it got a 0.81 rating and the replay did 0.27.

  12. tna caput mundi says:

X DIVISION CATCHES WRESTLING FANS AND CASUAL VIEWERS.
X DIVISION AND STRONG STYLE WRESTLING LIKE JAPANESE STYLE IS THE IT FACTOR TO MAKE TNA NUMBER ONE IN MAINSTREAM.

If TNA will bring much MORE X DIVISION on LIVE SHOWS (I REPEAT MORE LIVE SHOWS, LESS TOUR, MORE LIVE SHOWS even in small places but noisy ) then this is what will make wrestling biz greater and really popular.

TNA 'S GOT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO CATCH WHAT IN PRO WRESTLING UNTIL NOW WAS MISSING.
high flying action it's the "hardcore thing " of this nu era.Hardcore was the it factor of the 90's and high flying was never the main point ,certainly it was special in wcw and ecw but it was never like in TNA .

TNA 'S GOT TO FOCUS ON THE X DIVISION,MORE GIMMICK MATCHES, MORE LIVE SHOWS, LESS TOUR,AND more STRONG STYLE WITH HEAVY CHOPS AND STRONG KICKS.
THEN TNA WILL CATCH EVEN UFC FANS

  13. TheBringer92 says:

    X vs Hogan…..hmmm…..X
