TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship Deactivated?

The TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship has apparently been deactivated as the the official website of Impact Wrestling is no longer listing the championship on its roster page.

Last week on iMPACT! Wrestling, Knockouts division executive Brooke Hogan stripped ODB and Eric Young of the title due to Young’s male gender. There was no further announcement made concerning the belts.

The championship was created in 2009 due to the roster depth of the Knockouts division at the time. Sarita and Taylor Wilde became the inaugural champions in September of that year, besting Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky in the finals of a four-team tournament. The final champions, ODB and Young, held the titles for a record 478 days.

It's just a sign of how the current KO division is just a shell of its former self, if that.

The Knockout division needs to be built up.

Three reasons it's not being built up: Bruce Prichard, Hogan, and Bischoff…..

I'm shocked it's taken a man holding it a year before that happened. We had almost 15 knockouts on the roster at one point and now we see about 5 at the moment, we haven't even seen Tessmacher is months.

The only female tag team TNA have is the Blossom twins and they're still stuck in OVW

    About time they did that!
Lots of Wrestling "gurus" have said that TNA has too many belts and not enough wrestlers to contend for them.
That was definitely the case with the knockouts tag team belts

That should've changed it to the Mixed Tag-Team Championship and continued it. There's enough of a mixed of male and female wrestlers to do that. It would be another first for TNA since it's never been done before.

I wonder if they'll mothball them until they're ready to use them again, or auction them on their site?
