TNA Suspends Gut Check Challenge …. For Now

TNA Suspends Gut Check Challenge …. For Now

TNA has announced that “due to a number of issues with the voting,” they have suspended the Gut Check Challenge. The competition included over 300 indy names divided into sixteen brackets and has seen a few adjustments since it kicked off. It was determined that people figured out how to vote more than once, so TNA decided to allow anyone to vote as many times as they wanted for a bit before halting it today.

TNA announced that the re-launched challenge will include a “new voting system that will eliminate the voting issues.”

I thought it was b/c they listed currently signed WWE stars on the brackets

That is a great idea . Oh by the way WWE is trying to stop TNA from going on the road. They are trying to block up all the venues in major cities to keep TNA from booking those locations. That is just wrong. OMG…what on earth is the WWE trying to pull. TNA "isnt" competition so why are you trying to impede their progress. In the voice of the sportss illustrated commentators, Cmon Man!!!!

unrelated to this article but that is true, WWE are a bunch of babies and it makes them look EXTREMELY pathetic to themselves and the IWC. They're starting to learn that their product is going bad.

      • oh0K says:

babies? it has ALWAYS been this way, even with WCW it kind of like territories… WWF n WCW always had shows in cleveland n they always had them at the same two different places. I think its more of a business move, like they probably ask for contracts….

not only current wwe talent they also listed indy guys that did not want to be part of the gutcheck challenge as they had no desire to be signed to tna. luke hawks for example

    • toddmikki says:

Luke hawks was granted a contract hed run to tna sucking his thumb, he doesnt want to be of the competition because he knows he'll never win so he wants to save the embarassment!!!!!

Stuff like this makes TNA look amateurish….

    • Dirk1n says:

People looking to cheat the system isn't really TNA's fault.
At least they're trying to sort it out rather than just picking who they'd prefer.

    • toddmikki says:

this happens with every company idiot

      • tnadude says:

Actually, he's right. There are a ton of voting systems out there that have already solved this problem. No need to build your own or choose one that is unproven. Whoever is the chief web master at TNA dropped the ball, and made a bad choice.

I will say this though: it would be a LOT worse if they hadn't owned up to the error and let the voting continue. I greatly appreciate their honesty, and my respect for them has risen.

Too many businesses try to hide their faults. It never works. Good work TNA!
