Update: 6 Ex-TNA Knockouts Turn Down Return Offers

Add Sarita to the list of former TNA Knockouts who have turned down an invite from TNA to return for their “One Night Only” pay-per-view.

We posted the following this morning:

Former TNA Knockouts Winter and Rain (Peyton Banks) are the latest names to turn down TNA’s offer to return for the upcoming Knockouts-only pay-per-view taping.

We posted the following on Monday:

Nicole “Roxxi” Raczynski is the latest former TNA Knockout that has reportedly turned down an offer to return at the upcoming Knockouts “One Night Only” PPV.

Former WWE “Diva” Kia “Kharma” Stevens noted on Twitter that she recently turned down an offer from TNA to appear at an upcoming taping for a Knockouts themed “One Night Only” PPV special in Orlando. Stevens worked for TNA from 2007 to 2010 as Awesome Kong.

Nope! Declined offer RT: “@Gavin_Harvey1D: @Kharma will you be at tna knockout know night only ?”

TNA Wrestling revealed last week to VIP ticket holders that a Knockouts-exclusive pay-per-view event will be taped on Sunday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the iMPACT! Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida. In addition to current stars, organization officials will apparently be utilizing former female talent as Angelina Love revealed on Twitter Thursday that she was contacted to appear at the “One Night Only” series event. She, however, has declined to appear.

The five-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion was asked if she will be on hand for the show and responded, “They asked me but I politely declined.”

In addition to the event, TNA will tape TNA 10 Reunion that day, which is billed as a “celebration of the stars from the first 10 years of TNA.”

Sweet baby Jesus, Is there even going to be a Knockout's One Night Only PPV?

A lot of the ladies will have to wrestle more than once to fill 3 hours.

    • Philly_Cheese says:

It'll come down to either one of three things… Either they're going to have them do multiple matches (extremely unlikely), have each match go upwards of 40 minutes long (more likely), or flat out cancel the PPV all together (the most likely).
There's only a very small handful of former talents left available, as some are working for WWE now, and even more want nothing to do with TNA any longer. It's starting to make TNA look extremely bad that they've had the bulk of their former KO division decline, even worse is that absolutely none of their most famous former KOs are willing to work for them for even one night.

This ppv is gonna suck compared to the others.
Maybe TNA will learn to treat the girls right – they can be just as good as the men given the chance.

while i liked the early knockout divsion. womens wrestling can't be taken seriously on mainstream level. especially with tna not having a dedicated program for women. 2 hour impact and the hour xplosion show shown internationally isnt enough time. the womens divsion is pointless in tna when they don't have enough time to really showcase the male roster properly

      • DirkB says:

TNA used to pull it off just fine, so did WWE.

      • Philly_Cheese says:

TNA has plenty of time to showcase the male roster (even though they don't for the most part)… People never take women in sports seriously. The KO division when it included: kong, gail kim, BP, and roxxi, was IMO far superior to what the men's divisions had going.

  3. dcxboxx says:

awesome kong hinted that she may be signing back with the wwe. several former divas have been offered new deals to return. the bellas apprently took the first offer that the wwe gave them which was a pay increase over their original wwe deal.

  4. Treck says:

If Kong resigns with wwe. I would spit in her face. Since www does that to their whore division. Jesus one night. Dumb bitches.

This may actually end up being a blessing for TNA and the fans as they may need to bring in a lot of indy talents to fill out the card. As nice as it would be to see Awesome Kong in a TNA ring again, this may open the door for someone like Sara Del Ray to appear. Seriously tho, TNA needs to put some work back into the KO division. Bring back Hamada and Cheerleader Melissa and let them loose. Could really help revitalize this sagging division.

    • pepsilover2008 says:

Sara Del Ray is a trainer for nxt so i don't think she'll appear

    • Philly_Cheese says:

The KO division as it stands isn't going to be revitalized because of the people running TNA. I honestly don't expect it to get any better over the next year. At the rate things are going with this apparent PPV, it may very well get canceled rather than bringing in Indy talent. The only wrestlers currently on the roster are:
Kim, Terrell, Sky, Hendrix, Tara, ODB, James, and Rayne. This makes only 4 possible matches… They either need to seriously push for more former talent to come in (of which there's VERY little left), or have the matches go at least 42 minutes each.

The thing is… It's very very unlikely TNA will bring in Indy talent risk the PPV looking like a complete joke (most people on the indy circuit just aren't ready for PPV quality matches). This one night PPV will get canceled before any Indy wrestlers are brought in.

      • JohnSmithWhoof says:

Eric Young is also a knockout infact knockout tag team champion. They could always have eric young and ODB vs Jesse and Tara for the knockouts tag team championship.

        • Philly_Cheese says:

That title is for the most part dead and forgotten about… You do realize the titles themselves haven't even been seen so far this year on TV, or even brought up what so ever on impact right?

  6. TwIsTeD_EnEmY says:

Would be awesome to have Sarita, Kong and Roxxi there .
The others i dont really care too much about

  7. Stunner says:

Bring in Tealer Hendrix I will watch just for that and the Blossem Twins along with the current gut check participants .

  8. tnadude says:

Everyone seems to be spouting off about how bad this is for TNA, and how it makes them look. From a PR-perspective, that's 100% correct.

Still though, let's consider the circumstances. At least a couple of the girls (including Sarita) are in Japan, so it makes no sense for them. It's also possible that some have moved beyond wrestling (some maybe only compete if it's convenient). They may not even be in wrestling shape.

The biggest thing is probably the money. How much is TNA willing to pay them? It can't be more than the existing KOs for fear of dissent and future contract demands. And by all reports, the existing KOs aren't making much anyway.

Personally, I wouldn't travel all the way to Orlando for a few bucks just to make a single appearance with no potential for more. Just wouldn't happen.

My guess is this is the majority of the problem. If, by chance, I'm right – then the idea itself should have never gotten approved because it was bound to be a disaster from the beginning.

    • Philly_Cheese says:

You're right, they're probably not paying them what they should be what so ever… Also TNA doesn't ever pay for travel expenses so if they're anywhere except within driving distance, they'd spend more than they'd make just getting there… This epic failure will no doubt be a self fulfilling prophecy for those running TNA who think women can't draw.
