Update: Christy Hemme Legitimately Upset At Austin Aries

Source: Prowrestling.net

As previously reported, Christy Hemme tweeted that Austin Aries was “unacceptable” when he backed her into a corner, climbed to the second rope and putt his groin in front of her face during iMPACT! after Hemme incorrectly introduced Bad Influence for their match. Aries had made reference to the tweet on his own account, noting:

“Pretty nuts, some of the junk people get the balls to say over the net, knowing they couldn’t to your face…Eh, anyway, time to sack out.”

When asked whether Hemme was legitimately bothered by the incident, someone within TNA said, “Of course, she was. How would you react? It’s one thing if that was set up as a work earlier in the day, and even then our girls would have to reassure our agents over and over again that they would be okay with that spot before it got approved for television.” The source added the opinion that Hemme was “technically sexually harassed.”

oh shut the fuck up it's not like he was thrusting into her face or even pushing his hips forward.

I'm guessing you're no professional of any kind. Every single job I've ever had, I've had to pass an annually sexual harassment assessment. It's not the intent, it's the impact.

I kid you not, from the University of MS (student worker), Wal-Mart, Sears, and USAA FSB, that last sentence was used in every single freaking assessment.

      • Philly_Cheese says:

Yup, Wal-Mart definitely has sexual harassment stuff you have to do every year. In fact a few months back had a guy get fired for simply making a passing comment about a girl.

      • soyfenomenal says:

If it happened to JB, he would've laughed about it 2 minutes later.

  2. TNArocks says:

While I dont think its very nice, niether is being so stupid that you fuck up and announce the wrong team!! YOLO Christy.

    • ricky_No1 says:

I agree. Hemme is just one of the reasons i can no longer watch TNA. No idea why they pay her so much?

  3. ekafcount says:

It was rude but Christy screwed up and Aries made it less awkward by doing it.

  4. Tiffanydude says:

Isn't what Aries did something a typical heel would do?

  5. Philly_Cheese says:

Although im sure Aries is going to be in trouble for this, his tweet on that was just pun-tastic.

  6. ariesstormjoe says:

as christy made a mistake. i think what aries did make it more allowable and not such a mistake.

i can see why christy is upset if she is of course. not entirely sure this isnt a play on the rumour sites. but its about how a segment comes across on tv.

if they continued like nothing had happened that segment would have been way worse.

    • jbcissom says:

Actually, Hemme wasn't the only one that messed up. I went back and re-watched it on my dvr…. someone in the production company screwed up. Bad Influence's theme music was playing when Aries and Roode came out. And when Bad Influence came out, Roode's music and video played.

Christy has TNA by the balls on this one, and Aries could be in a lot of trouble.

  7. Jon says:

She's a complete waste of a salary & has been for quite some time … but of course now it'd be even harder to unload her useless hiney since she'd likely turn around & sue.

    Classic Austin Aries

  9. josieamy says:

Aries had the right idea trying to cover up the mistake…he just implemented it wrong. He could have got the same message across without putting his crotch in her face. If hemme is upset, she is entitled to take action. I imagine any "awkward" situations writers place the women in, would have to be thoroughly pre approved by the woman involved.

  10. JoeWrestling says:

I don't know what their real opinion is. I could see Hemme being upset, but I could also see perhaps she is just responding how you'd expect someone to respond. I was at the show and didn't notice any particular disgust after he did it. Who knows.. was out of line, but not sure what the legit reaction is. They work so many silly things it's hard to tell sometimes. It's not like there are any sources on these stories, it's just "someone within TNA said", and why would someone working for TNA volunteer that it's "sexually harassment", you're talking to "reporters" and intentionally putting the company in a bad light. Makes me wonder how high up this source is.

  11. Goeroe1981 says:

Pffffffff…. The Diva sounds upset. Let go sometimes. What Aries did can be set straight if Aries said "I'm sorry!" I think it isn't such a big deal as people make it now. Like i said before he just wanted to make an akward situation go away by doing something funny. How one joke can get taken so wrong.

This is going to be interesting.

  13. annil8or4321 says:

he made lite of the situation at hand with the action, but he never thrusted or made any other sexual movement, he has a lot more restraint than i do, she needs to chill out

  14. Blood Runs Cold says:

IMO this whole thing is blown WAY out of proportion. I heard about it first and after seeing the “incident” I thought they made it sound 10 times worse than it was. They are acting like he grabbed her head and started gyrating his Crotch in her face.
