Update: TNA Cancels The Baltimore iMPACT! Tapings

UPDATE x 2: TNA has now officially cancelled the 11/21 Baltimore, Maryland iMPACT! Wrestling taping and taken it off their schedule. TNA should be making an announcement about refunds for fans that purchased tickets online soon.

TNA will be looking to tape episodes of iMPACT! in Orlando, Florida for the week of 11/21 instead. The final “on the road” taping before TNA’s return to Orlando will be on 11/7 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

UPDATE: The current word among those within TNA is that several episodes of iMPACT! will be taped in mid-to-late November at the iMPACT! Zone. This would lead to current planned or announced tapings to be either canceled or turned into house shows, depending on the specific market.

TNA is finalizing plans before they announce anything.

ORIGINAL: TNA and Universal Studios have opened discussions regarding the promotion returning to the old iMPACT! Zone in November to tape several episodes of iMPACT! Wrestling. The word is that the company is looking to tape anywhere from four to six episodes of iMPACT! during the week of November 21st.

The iMPACT! Zone was located at Universal Studios Soundstage 21 in Orlando. At this time, the studio is being used as a Resident Evil haunted house for Universal’s Halloween Horrors until November 2nd.

At this time there is no confirmation that a deal is official. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more. Stay tuned!

I miss the good ol' territorial days when you got your wrestling syndicated on Saturday mornings along with interview segments to promote the event. Growing up between DC and Baltimore, my dad and I used to see live wrestling twice a month. Those events were packed…usually just for house shows. They never should have booked that arena…way too big and zero buzz locally.

I agree,I remember going to the Baltimore Arena,Cap Center,The DC Armory, and RFK staduim for shows.TNA doesn't know how to market itself,so over booking arenas ,and not media in the area hurts them.

TNA will be sold in 2014,they have nothing left.
