Will TNA Be Cutting Back On Their PPVs?, Details

The feeling is that TNA moving the Lockdown PPV to March is a sign that TNA is going to pull back on the number of PPVs they promote a year. For some time, Dixie Carter has long been vocal about not wanting to promote monthly PPVs, but couldn’t change that due to existing contracts with the PPV companies.

While nothing has been officially announced, the feeling is that the change will be made.

Good news. Also means they can just have like a super Impact in place of where those ppv's would have been.

they could do monday night specials in place of those ppvs. hype them for a month to get fans interested.

  3. Sturk says:

This is pretty cool. That gives them a reason to hold impact somewhere else for specials etc. This change is good and WWE will follow suit soon as well.

i dont see wwe doing the same. i wonder how many tna will cut? i think they should keep genesis, lockdown, bound for glory, destination x, slammiversary, and maybe hardcore justice too.

wwe are already planning on doing this . they been so before tna planned to. wwe will use the B ppvs as part of wwe network but will also offer them as stand alone ppvs for people who dont have access to the wwe network. and focus on the big 4 as major ppvs.

  4. Smutking says:

I like the idea of less PPVs. One a month is too many IMO. Back when WCW and WWE only had 4-5 a year it made them seem more important. If they had the world title defended maybe only once a month on Impact and at PPVs it would make the matches more meaningful.

  5. Laker says:

I have been saying this for the last year: Lockdown, Slammiversary, Destination X, and Bound For Glory. Anyways if this not happen then it is a good way of promoting Lockdown.
