WWE Lead Attorney Comments On TNA Lawsuit

The Associated Press has a report on TNA’s lawsuit against WWE and ex-Brian Wittenstein on charges of trying to act on inside information regarding TNA contracts. The story includes comments by WWE chief legal counsel Jerry McDevitt, who said that the company never asked for Wittenstein to disclose any information and that they fired him when he did. He also says that WWE told TNA officials about the disclosed information and sent back the information that was leaked. TNA’s lawsuit claims that the company didn’t notify TNA of the breach until three weeks after it happened.

McDevitt added that they have not tried to steal Ric Flair or anyone else, as TNA has alleged. Basically, WWE is trying to paint it as a situation where the company did the right thing
