Zema Ion’s Fundraising Campaign Falls Well Short

Zema Ion’s Fundraising Campaign Falls Well Short

As previously reported, a fundraising campaign had been set up to raise money for Zema Ion after an emergency appendectomy was required. The campaign, which had been aiming for $30,000, fell well short and ended with $6,648 as the total raised.

Ion still needs another surgery in order to remove a growth on his bladder that was found during the initial surgery. The link to the now-expired campaign is available here if you’re interested in checking for further updates that may be posted there.

He spent all the money on hairspray

  3. soyfenomenal says:

I'm not giving him shit simply because if I was having the same health problems, bet your ass I would have to pay it all myself minus whatever the insurance pays.

Perception is everything and sad to say he went heel 2 fast and thats how marks see him so they in their minds think who gives a crap bowt him hes a heel. He played it 2 well and people dont really have a babyface run to judge him with he came in was cocky and arrogant then the jesse incident

  5. TheMiwyun says:

  6. Whatsup121 says:

Not going to lie..this kind of makes me mad..don't get me wrong..sucks for the dudes situation, but having had major heart surgery when I was 9 my family had to scrap and claw to pay for it (and that was damn near 100k) and they didn't ask for a handout from anyone, but heres a guy who has had national TV exposure (not saying he made good money) asking for money because he cant pay. Tell ya what son, get a real job to pay off your bills, then go back to wrestling if you so desire. This may sound cruel, and I know its in no way his fault what happened to him, but for some reason this just makes me mad.
Also, as said above, if TNA is such a "family" why couldn't the Carters, or Hogan, or Sting, Or Angle (you know..guys with tons of money) help with some of this.

Anybody know the health insurance situation for TNA wrestlers? seems like even basic coverage would take care of this issue

    • cnote says:

Wrestlers are not insured by companies they are considered ” contractors” and there for must provide their own insurance even wwe doesn’t insure their wrestlers anymore. There was a lot of talk about this over a year or two ago.

    • Bigmike885 says:

no wrestling company supplies health insurance for their talent..itd be way to expensive. This is why I never begrudge anyone for going to WWE..at least at the end of the day you'll probably make enough to help with the bills
