TNA Hardcore Justice Opener:
The show opens with a video package highlighting the Bound for Glory series, and the stipulation matches that will be taking place tonight.
The pyro hits and Mike Tenay welcomes us to the show. He immediately begins hyping tonight’s title matches, as well as the Bound for Glory series matches. Tenay is alongside Taz and they break down the stipulation of the World Title match, which states if Aries loses, he wont receive a rematch. They’re interrupted by the music of Kid Kash, as he makes his way out with his partner Gunner.
Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Kid Kash & Gunner
Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez are out next, and they get a nice pop from the Impact Zone crowd.
Gunner and Kash jump Chavo and Hernandez and Hernandez is sent from the ring. Kash and Gunner team up on Chavo, but Chavo dropkicks Gunner, sending him from the ring, and he hits the three amigos on Kash. Chavo heads to the top but he’s pushed down by Gunner. Kash tags in Gunner and we get a bit of a double team, beat down including a couple of chops and a double shoulder block that puts Chavo down for two. Kash comes back in and kicks at Chavo before hitting him with clubbing blows to the face. Gunner gets in a couple of cheap shots and makes the illegal tag, slingshotting Chavo into the bottom rope before tagging in Kash and hitting a double slingshot suplex.
Kash goes for a cocky pin but doesn’t get three. Chavo begins to fight back with a headscissors out of nowhere, but he’s clotheslined by Gunner out of nowhere. Kash ties up Chavo’s legs in the ropes before being forced to break by the ref. Gunner tags in and blasts Chavo with another big clothesline but it’s only good enough for one. Gunner locks in a rear chin lock but Chavo is able to fight up and out of it. Gunner puts him down with a big back drop which is good for another near fall. Kash tags in and hits Chavo with a big right before distracting the ref and hitting Chavo with a low blow. He rakes Chavo’s chest before locking in an arm bar.
Gunner tags in and double teaming from Gunner and Kash stops any kind of momentum from Guerrero. Gunner chokes Guerrero against the bottom rope before Kash tags in. Guerrero tries to fight back but a big right hand from Kash stops him. Kash chops and kicks Chavo, but Chavo comes back with a big chop. Gunner takes Chavo down with a cheap shot and Kash follows up with a kick and a camel clutch. Chavo responds by standing up in an electric chair and drops Kash down to the mat.
Gunner tags in and stops Chavo from tagging out, stomping and punching away at Guerrero. Kash tags back in and chops away at Chavo. Chavo fights back with a big upper cut, but misses a dropkick. Kash slingshots Chavo into the corner, but Chavo hangs on and down a moonsault, landing on his feet. Both men hits clotheslines. Hernandez tags in and goes to work on both Kash and Gunner, launching both men with huge shoulderblocks. Hernandez takes Kash over with a giant hip toss and squashes him with a big splash before slamming him down to the mat hard. A pin is broken up by Gunner, but a double team attempt leads to a double clothesline from Hernandez. Gunner bails, so Hernandez leaps over the top to take him out. Chavo makes the tag out of nowhere. Hernandez hits the slingshot shoulderblock on Kash and Chavo follows up with the frog splash for the three count.

- After a BFG series video package, and a quick look at the leaderboard, it’s time for the first BFG series match. Rob Van Dam is the first man out to the ring, and he gets a nice reaction from the crowd.
D’Angelo Dinero’s music comes on, but he’s nowhere to be seen. They start the music over again, but still no sign of Pope. Backstage, he’s shown being assaulted by Aces and Eights. His arm is smashed in a gate and Pope is left screaming in pain.
20-Point Bound For Glory Series Falls Count Anywhere Match
- Rob Van Dam vs. Magnus vs. Mr. Anderson vs. “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero
Moving right along, Magnus makes his way out to the ring and I guess we’re just going to act like nothing happened. Magnus is looking over his shoulder to make sure he’s not attacked next.
Mr. Anderson is the last man to make his way to the ring, for the now three way match. Anderson stops at the top of the ramp to call down the mic and do his thing. He says it looks like Aces and Eights just made this a three way dance. The crowd chants ‘A-hole’. Anderson says that’s one less b**** he’s got to worry about. 20 points on the line for the man from Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The bell rings and all three men are slow to start. RVD takes in the crowd, but his gloating leads to Magnus knocking him out to the floor. Magnus shoulder blocks Anderson, but he’s hip tossed and clotheslined for two. Anderson kicks Magnus in the shoulder, but Magnus comes back with a clothesline. RVD comes back in and takes Magnus into the corner, and Anderson into the opposite. He kicks Anderson and monkey flips Magnus before leg dropping Anderson and kicking Magnus, sending himself and Magnus crashing to the floor. RVD suplexes Magnus into the barricade and kicks Anderson in the head, but Anderson crashes into him and knocks him from the apron into the barricade. Magnus pulls Anderson from the ring and backs him into the apron hard.
Anderson turns things around, backing Magnus into the ring apron before sending him head first into the ring steps. Anderson goes for a pin and gets a two. Anderson smashes Magnus’ head into the barricade, but an Irish whip is reversed and Anderson is sent into the ring steps. Magnus grabs a chair and winds up, but Anderson ducks, kicks Magnus and kicks Magnus in the gut. Anderson teases a DDT on the chair, but Magnus pushes Anderson down on the chair hard. Magnus takes Anderson up toward the entrance way, punching him the whole way. He suplexes Anderson into the guard rail, but RVD throws a chair into Magnus’ back out of nowhere.
RVD comes off the entrance ramp and crashes down on top of Anderson, laid out across the barricade, with a big leg drop. He stops to gloat and Magnus takes him out from behind with a chop block to the knee. Magnus locks in a cloverleaf, and RVD holds on. Anderson breaks things up with a clothesline to the back of Magnus’ head. Anderson takes Magnus down to the ring and hits him with rights, but Magnus fights back with rights of his own. Both men go for, and connect with, clotheslines and both go down. RVD comes in and goes to the top, but Anderson hits the ropes and crotches RVD.
Anderson heads up after RVD. Magnus tries to get in on it, but Anderson tosses him from the ring. RVD fights Anderson off and hits the five star frog splash, but Magnus pulls him from the ring to break up the pin. Magnus hits a big suplex on the entrance ramp to lay out RVD. Magnus wants a chair, and gets into a bit with a chair for his, but doesn’t get it. Magnus eventually does track down a chair and he lays it down on the top of the entrance ramp. He picks up RVD, but RVD fights out. RVD grabs the chair and tosses it to Magnus, hitting a single leg drop kick to drive the chair into Magnus’ face. RVD gets the pin, and the three count.

JB is backstage and he talks about the uneasy feeling after the Aces and Eights attack earlier. Madison Rayne comes in and JB asks about Earl Hebner. Madison says she thinks JB has a crush on Hebner. She’s been champion before and she doesn’t need help to win the title. When the title’s on the line, Tessmacher can’t beat her. She blows a kiss to Hebner before walking off.
Devon vs. Kazarian
Kaz backs out to the apron and drops to the floor as soon as Devon hits the ring. Kaz is hesitant to get in the ring, so Devon brings him in the hard way over the ropes. Devon takes Kaz out with a back elbow before beating on him in the corner. Devon hip tosses Kaz, taking him over hard. Devon sends Kaz into the ropes and hits a Manhattan drop before sending Kaz into the corner so hard it launches him out to the floor. Kaz tries to get out through the crowd, but Devon stops him and hits him with a bottle of water before continuing to give chase and blast Kaz with right hands.
Kaz jumps up to the ring steps and leaps off with a cross body, but Devon catches him and body slams him on the floor. Both men head back into the ring and Kaz begs off. Devon shakes Kaz’s hand, but pulls him in for a short arm clothesline. Kaz heads into the corner, and Devon tries for a splash, but pulls up shots. Kaz rakes the eyes and hits Devon with a big clothesline. Kaz mounts Devon and rains down with punches.
Kaz chokes Devon in the ropes, the hits him with a back elbow when Devon tries to fight back. Kaz picks Devon back up and ducks a clothesline, hitting a springboard back elbow, then a springboard leg drop that’s good for a two count. Kaz hits Devon with a kick to the back before clamping on a rear chin lock. Devon fights up to his feet and out of the hold, but falls to a dropkick.
Kaz slaps at Devon’s head and then stomps away at the back of his head. Devon fights back with a couple of right hands and a series of chops. Kaz stops him with a poke to the eye and takes him into the corner for some punches, kicks, and forearms. Devon fights back with right hands, ducks a springboarding Kaz, and hits a big spear.
Devon hits a big clothesline, then another and a third. He takes Kaz out with a shoulder block, then a neckbreaker. A big head butt from Devon and he calls for Kaz to get up. He squashes Kaz with a splash, then another flying shoulder block. Kaz comes up with a jaw breaker out of nowhere. Kaz leaps up into the corner, but Devon pulls him down with a giant neck breaker from the second rope that’s good for a near fall. Devon tries for a backbreaker, but Kaz counters into a pin for two. Kaz tries for fade to black, but Devon gets out and plants Kaz with a spinebuster. He pins Kaz and gets the three count.

TNA Knockout Women’s Championship Match
Miss Tessmacher (c) vs. Madison Rayne
We get a video package showing the events that have led up to this match over the past few weeks, as well as the developing relationship between Rayne and referee Earl Hebner.
The bell rings and we get a lock up. Rayne pushes Brooke away. Another lock up and Brooke pushes Rayne away. A third lock up and Brooke pushes Rayne into the corner and breaks clean. Another lock up and Rayne backs Brooke into the corner. Brooke gets a roll up, then another. Brooke gets a backslide and Rayne rolls to the outside.
Rayne heads back up to the apron and slams Brooke’s head into the corner turnbuckle before taking her out with a big clothesline. She knees her in the stomach before smashing her head into the corner turnbuckle again and choking her with her boot. Rayne sends Brooke flying across the ring by her hair before chopping her. Brooke comes back with a kick, cross body a clothesline before being wiped out by a back elbow.
Rayne hits a Norther lights suplex before turning Brooke over for the scissors stomp. Rayne goes for the pin and gets one. Brooke connects with a chin breaker, and a big right. Brook follows with more rights and a couple of clotheslines. A big flying fist takes Rayne down again. Rayne blocks a suplex and shoves Brooke into the corner, but misses a backsplash. Brooke hits a facebuster and heads up to the top rope. Brooke hits an elbow drop, but Rayne gets her foot on the ropes to break the pin.
Rayne rolls up Brooke and uses the ropes for leverage, getting the three count.
Winner and NEW TNA Knockouts Champion: Madison Rayne
JB is backstage with Bully Ray. Ray calls JB over to him. He says he’s not stupid. He asks if JB saw what happened to Pope. He says the guys that laid out Pope are coming for him. No one is jumping him while he’s talking to JB. He went to his truck and sitting on the windshield wipers were playing cards. He knows he’s a tough guy, but when you have that many people, you can only do so much. Ray asks if Aces and Eights know who he is. He’s the baddest mofo you could put a target on. He’s the guy with the biggest calves, mouth and chain. They know where to find him. In that ring, picking up 20 points, putting people through tables. Then he’s going to Bound for Glory and he will become the TNA World Champion.
20-Point Bound For Glory Series Tables Match
- Bully Ray vs. James Storm vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Robbie E
The bell rings and all four men stare at each other. Bully tries to appeal to Jeff to attack Storm. He says he’s the one behind Aces and Eights. Robbie shoves Bully and says no one cares. Bully lays in with a huge chop. Storm punches Robbie and Hardy kicks him. Hardy and Storm dump Robbie over the top. Bully attacks both men from behind. He tells Robbie he’s sorry and tells him to get the table while he attacks Storm and Hardy. Robbie slides the table in the ring and Bully sends Robbie flying from the ring apron with a big forearm.
Bully sets up a table in the middle of the ring. Hardy and Storm attack and go for a double suplex, putting Bully through part of the table, as Robbie moves it. The refs says it’s not the end of the match though, as it’s an obvious botch. Robbie attacks Storm and sends Ray from the ring. Robbie sets up another table in the middle of the ring before knocking Bully from the apron to the outside again. Robbie slams Storms head into the turnbuckle and punches Hardy, laying him across the table. He hits him with a couple of rights and heads up to the middle rope. Storm stops him with an enzugiri and an open hand chop.
Storm goes for a superplex, but Hardy breaks it up. Hardy goes for a powerbomb on Storm, and Storm and Robbie crash to the mat as Bully moves the table. Bully clotheslines Hardy and stomps at Robbie. Bully pulls the table to the middle of the ring and tries to back drop Hardy through it, but Storm moves the table and hits Bully with the code breaker. Storm props the table up in the corner and goes to Robbie E, stomping on his hand. Robbie tries to whip Storm into the table but Hardy stops him. Hardy hits Robbie with a front suplex.
Hardy heads to the outside and sets up a table on the floor. He smashes Robbie’s head into the ring apron and lays him on the table, pounding away at his back. Hardy heads in the ring and up to the top, but Robbie T is out to stop him. Hardy flies over the table and takes out Terry. Robbie E comes in from out of nowhere with a big blow to Hardy’s back before whipping him into the barricade. Robbie positions the table and lays Hardy across it. Robbie lays in with a couple of right hands before heading up to the middle rope. Robbie leaps off with an elbow drop, but Hardy moves and Robbie crashes through the table.
Bully sends Hardy into the steps before heading back into the ring. Storm meets him with a series of jabs and an enzugiri, but Ray takes Storm down with a clothesline. Ray takes Storm head first into the table in the corner. Members of Aces and Eights comes out and surround the ring, allowing Storm to hit the superkick. One of the members gives Storm the thumbs up. Storm calls them out, but they wont come in. Hardy flies in and takes Storm out from behind, hitting the dropkick in the corner.
Hardy positions the table in the middle of the ring and he and Storm slug it out. Hardy hits the whisper in the wind out of the corner. Hardy and Storm exchange rights. Hardy blocks the superkick and hits the twist of fate. Hardy rolls Storm on the table, and Aces and Eights come back to the ringside area. Storm hits the superkick and goes for the eye of the storm, but Ray boots Storm and tosses him out. Ray powerbombs Hardy through the table and immediately bails from the ring.
Winner of 20 points in the BFG series: Bully Ray
JB says they don’t know where Aces and Eights are coming from, or where they’ve gone. Austin Aries comes in and says there are more questions than answers, but he’s prepared for anything. JB asks why Aries gave up the rematch clause. Aries says Roode has shown him nothing but disrespect. He assured everyone he’ll beat Aries, but his main concern was a rematch clause. He’s not going to need one. His victory was not a fluke. He the greatest man that ever lived. And Roode is not at the AA level.
TNA X Division Championship Match
- Zema Ion vs. Kenny King
The bell rings and King and Ion circle each other. A lock up and Ion backs King into the corner. King shoves Ion out. King locks in a top wrist lock and takes Ion down to the mat. He brings his knee down on Ion’s shoulder before putting on an arm bar. Ion fights up and out of the hold by pushing King into the ropes. King clamps on a headlock, but Ion fights out. Ion hits a shoulder block, but King connects with a drop toe hold and floats into a side headlock. King rolls Ion up for a quick one count. A second and third roll up don’t get any more, but he locks on another side headlock. Ion takes him into the corner, but he misses a dive and catches a right hand to the face. King goes out to the apron but Ion pulls his feet out from under him. He sends him into the apron but King jump up to the apron and leaps off and into Ion.
King sends Ion back into the ring, but he’s stopped on his way back in. Ion hits a flipping dive over the top to take out King. Ion rolls King back into the ring. King punches Ion in the face, so Ion hot shots King and hits a big neckbreaker. Ion throws Kenny’s head back into the turnbuckle before stomping away at him. Ion chokes King in the rope before being forced to break. King doles out a couple of forearms to Ion, but he’s caught with a low knee that’s good for a near fall for Ion. Ion snap mare’s King over and locks in a rear chin lock. King fights up and out of it quickly, but eats a DDT for another two count.
Ion goes for a moonsault but lands on King’s knees. King hits a couple of big clotheslines and rights hands. King sends Ion into the ropes and hits a huge spinning kick that’s good for a two count. King charges into a back elbow, but launches Ion into the corner with a big suplex. Ion falls to the outside, so King jumps over the top with a twisting body press over the top. King sends Ion back into the ring and heads up to the apron. King hits a springboard blockbuster, but can’t keep Ion down for two. King shoulders Ion but Ion fights out. Ion backs King into the corner, but King fights out. King locks on a single leg Boston crab.
Ion fights out of it with a kick and charges into a big boot from King in the corner. King misses a spin kick, and Ion connects with a crazy facebuster across his own knee for another near fall. Ion positions King and heads up in the corner. King stops him with a big right. King heads up after Ion but is thrown off. King lands on his feet and kicks Ion in the back of the head for another two count. King hits Ion with an enzugiri and rolls Ion up for another two. King charges into Ion in the corner, but whatever he did is sloppily reversed by Ion. Amazingly, that’s the end of the match, as Ion gets the three.
Winner and STILL TNA X Division Champion: Zema Ion
JB is backstage with Samoa Joe. Joe says he’s ready, because tonight he seals his place in the final four. Tonight he’s one step closer to his goal, regaining his World Championship. And on a night when a lot of people are nervous, Joe isn’t nervous. If someone starts something with Joe, they go until one of them isn’t there anymore. Joe will beat up everyone, take the envelope, and the 20 points.
20-Point Bound For Glory Series Ladder Match
- AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe
The bell rings and once again, everyone stares each other down. Styles jumps Daniels and beats him down in the corner, stomping away. Angle pulls him off only to stomp and choke him with his boot. Joe hits Daniels with Kawada kicks and all three men hit him with rights. Daniels kicks everyone, but misses a moonsault on Joe. Joe hits an atomic drop/big kick/senton combo. Joe beats on Styles in the corner before peppering Angle with rights. He splashes both men before hitting Angle with an enzugiri and face washing him with his boot. Daniels pulls Joe to the outside and slams his head into the apron. Daniels heads in and jumps over the top, but he’s caught by Joe. Styles jumps over the top and wipes out both men.
In the ring Styles beats on Angle, taking him from corner to corner. Styles heads out to the ring apron, but Daniels uses a ladder to take out Styles’ knee. Angle slides to the outside and Daniels sends him crashing into the guardrail. Daniels brings the ladder into the ring and uses it to hit Joe in the gut. He traps Joe in the corner and charges in with a running forearm. Daniels charges in again and Joe drives him down into the ladder. Joe sets up the ladder but Styles stops him. Styles hits Joe with a dropkick that sends Joe to the outside. Angle comes in and hits Styles with a couple of big right hands and upper cuts. Angle hits Styles with a tilt a whirl backbreaker, but Daniels uses the ladder to low blow Angle before tossing him to the outside.
Daniels begins to climb to the top, but Joe powerbombs him into the corner instead. Joe tosses AJ from the ring and heads up the ladder. Angle pushes the ladder down and launches Joe with a belly to belly suplex. Angle grabs the ladder and sets it up, but Styles attacks from behind. Both men trade rights. Angle chokes Styles in the ropes before hitting him with a cross face blow, them stomping away at him. Styles tosses Angle to the ladder and Kurt ducks it, but Styles pushes the ladder into Angle’s face. Styles hits Joe with a big Pele kick.
Styles stops Daniels from using the ladder as a weapon, and he mounts him in the corner, hitting him with repeated right hands. Styles hits Daniels with a big upper cut and a nasty chop. Joe comes back into the ring and hits both AJ and Daniels before back dropping Styles to the floor. Joe hits a suicide dive through the ropes to take out Styles. Joe charges Angle, but he’s caught and Angle hits a belly to belly suplex on the outside. Daniels DDTs Angle on the floor. Daniels sends Joe back into the ring. He tries to whip AJ into Joe but it’s reverses. AJ runs into a boot, then Joe hits a clothesline to Joe and Daniels before knocking Angle from the ring apron. Joe suplexes Daniels into the corner before running into double boots from AJ. Joe stops AJ from going to the top and tries for the muscle buster, but Angle stops by suplexing Joe, causing Styles to fall on his face.
Daniels takes Angle down with an STO and then sets up the ladder. Angle yanks him from the ladder and locks in the ankle lock. Daniels taps out but it doesn’t matter. Daniels fights out of the hold and sends Angle face first into the ladder. Styles hits a springboard clothesline to Daniels out of nowhere. Styles drags the ladder to the middle of the ring. Styles begins climbing, but Daniels pushes the ladder and Styles falls over the ropes to the outside. Daniels takes a bow and resets the ladder. Daniels climbs but Joe and Angle shove the ladder out of the way. Joe suplexes Daniels, then so does Angle. Joe hits a German suplex, then so does Angle.
Joe hits another suplex, so Angle hits the Angle slam. Angle sets up the ladder. Joe and Angle thread Daniels through the standing ladder. Joe kicks Daniels hard, then so does Angle. Joe and Angle fight it out until Angle low bridges Joe. Joe grabs another ladder and sets it up. Joe knocks Angle down with a head butt, but Styles comes out of nowhere and springboards onto the ladder, leaping up and grabbing the paper that represents the points, winning the match.
Winner of the 20 points in the BFG series: AJ Styles
JB is standing backstage and Bobby Roode comes in for an interview. A fan asks if Roode is afraid of Aries. Roode says he’s not afraid of anyone, most certainly not Aries. His victory last month was nothing more than an f-l-u-k-e, fluke. It’s time to become the World Champion again. Roode has been main-eventing shows for the last year an carrying the company. Aries’ dream comes to an end tonight and Roode will right the wrong, and walk into Bound for Glory as the World Champion.
TNA Championship Match
If Roode loses, he will not get a rematch.
- Austin Aries (c) vs. Bobby Roode
We get a video package detailing the history between Roode and Aries, including the events that led up to their match last month where Aries won the title.
After formal ring introductions from JB, we’re ready to begin the main event of the evening.
The bell rings and Aries and Roode walk out to the center of the ring. Roode yells at Aries. Aries shrugs and spits water in Roode’s face. Aries connects with a drop toe hold and tries to go right for the last chancery, but Roode bails to the floor. Roode heads back in and Aries locks in the last chancery. Roode makes it to the ropes, then heads to the floor. He’s slow to get back into the ring, composing himself and asking for Aries to be backed up. Roode finally gets back into the ring and the slides right back out.
Roode gets back into the ring and Aries catches him with a corner dropkick. Aries teases the brainbuster but Roode rolls right back out to the floor. Roode shrugs it off and begins walking up the ramp. Roode asks for a time out, but the ref says no. He breaks the count, and turns around to eat an Austin Aries plancha. Aries rolls Roode into the ring and Roode rolls through, so Aries heads out with a plancha over the other side. Aries rolls Roode in again and pounds on him in the corner. Aries hits a snap mare and a dropkick to the back from the middle rope. Aries picks up Roode and blasts him with a nasty chop.
Aries kicks Roode hard and Roode heads to the outside. Aries flies from the top rope, but Roode moves and Aries crashes into the barricade. Roode backs Aries into the apron hard before taking him around the ring and launching him into the barricade. Roode stomps away at Aries on the floor before bringing things back into the ring. Aries kicks at Roode’s back and side, stomping at him in the corner. Aries tries to fight back but Roode pokes him in the eye. Roode suplexes Aries across the top rope, and then brings him back into the ring with a suplex. Roode drops a knee across Aries’ chest and goes into a seated bear hug.
Aries fights up to his feet and out of the hold with a series of elbows. Roode backs Aries into the corner and Roode drives his shoulder into Aries’ midsection. Aries rolls up Roode out of nowhere for two. Aries tries for a crucifix, but Roode counters, shouldering Aries and dropping him into a gut buster for two. Roode stomps at Aries’ gut, then his ankle. Roode chops Aries in the corner, and lays him out with a big right hand.
Aries fights back with a couple of right hands, but runs right into a knee to the gut that’s good to get Roode a two count. Roode locks in a body scissors, clamping down to wear down Aries. Aries rolls Roode into a pin to try and counter but Roode kicks out and holds on to the hold. Aries fights up to his feet and out of the hold, but he gets caught in a cross body and Roode slams him into the corner into a tree of woe. Roode stomps away at Aries, wearing him down. Roode heads into the corner and Aries scores with a couple of kicks to the head and a stunner to get himself out of the tree of woe.
Both men are slow to get to their feet. Aries lays in with a couple of chops and left hands. Aries mounts Roode in the corner for a couple of punches, then drops down for an inverted atomic drop and a big clothesline that sends Roode to the floor. Roode sees a suicide dive coming and moves, so Aries heads to the top and comes off with a double sledge. Aries hits Roode with an awesome running dropkick when he’s seating in a chair in the ringside area. Aries rolls Roode back into the ring and locks in the last chancery. Roode teases tapping, but he rips at Aries’ face to break the hold. Aries takes Roode down into the crossface.
Aries cranks back but Roode is able to get to his feet and break the hold with a backbreaker. Roode takes Aries down into a crossface, but Aries doesn’t look like he’s going to give. Aries crawls toward the ropes, finally making it and forcing Roode to break the hold. Roode is frustrated, screaming at the ref. Roode hits Aries with a big forearm, then chops him hard in the corner. Aries turns things around with a big chop of his own. Aries and Roode trade lefts and rights. Roode tosses Aries to the apron. Aries hits a giant shoulderblock, then heads to the top for a huge missile dropkick.
Aries hits the corner dropkick, but Roode comes back with the spinebuster out of nowhere for two. Roode takes Aries into the corner and the two trade punches, with Roode getting the better of Aries. Roode seats Aries on the top turnbuckle and goes for the superplex, but Aries blocks it and chops Roode down to the canvas. Aries stands on the top turnbuckle and goes for the 450, but Roode gets his knees up. Roode runs in for a spear, but Aries moves and Roode wipes out the ref. Aries hits Roode with a series of right, but runs into a big spear.
Roode covers Aries and another ref comes down and counts two, Roode picks Aries up and tries for a fisherman buster, but Aries blocks it. Aries tries for the brainbuster, but Roode backs him into the corner and takes out the new ref. Aries connects with a kick to Roode’s head and hits the brainbuster. The first ref comes around and makes the count, counting two, but Roode kicks out!
Aries heads to the top, but Roode hits the ropes and crotches him. Roode heads up after Aries and tries for the superplex, connecting this time. Roode makes the pin and both men’s shoulders are on the mat. Both referees make the count, and both hold up either man’s hand.
There’s an argument between the two refs and Roode takes the belt and runs. Earl Hebner comes down and grab the belt from Roode. Earl consults with the refs in the ring. He hears differing reports from the refs. The match is going to restart with the original ref.
Aries dives out of the ring with the heat seeking missile, right into the belt that’s in the hands of Roode. Roode picks Aries up and drags Aries back into the ring. Roode rolls Aries into the ring and covers him but Aries still kicks out! Roode shoves the ref, but the ref shoves back. Roode picks up Aries, but Aries rolls him up out of nowhere, putting leverage on Roode and getting the three count.
